Hey I was looking through the comments on "finding survivor" by 2steps2late because its peak. And i saw that in the comments you said you would draw fan art for it. I was just curious if you ever did. I tried looking for it but I put the dum in dumass so i figured I would just send you an ask
Oops I forgot to answer this sooner! So unfortunately, I never did finish that, even though I love Finding Survivor so much. I start the drawing in September of 2024, and I was trying to do things that I felt ultimately exceeded my reach at the time, so I put it down and never came back to it. It might be worth approaching again in the future, not necessarily because I have more skill (though that does help) but moreover because I have a lot more confidence in myself, and I'd have a lot more follow-through. For anyone who hasn't read it, Finding Survivor by 2steps2late is one of my favorite pieces of Rain World fanfiction, and you can find it on Ao3. It's very separate from the context of Rain World and puts all the characters in a 80's small town setting, but it is very good.
I don't think I ever posted the unfinished piece, but this is what I had before I put it down. I think it was trying to figure out the lighting that stopped me.

The dark is very scary but thankfully some of Ori's children like to patrol for any creatures in need. To be fair the dark likes to BITE sometimes, especially in Mouldwood. This was fun to paint!! It was difficult figuring out what hugging a glowing creature would look like in terms of lighting, but I think I figured it out???
