steven's far too invested in his own little world to notice his little sister standing in the doorway . headphones are placed securely over his head , eyes scanning the screen of his computer for any flaw in his coding . he has music blasting , not a care in the world for reality all around him . he actually jumps when he finally manages to hear her over the music , wheels of the chair gliding backwards immediately .

steven falls off of the chair , wire of the headphones pulling out of the port and filling the room with incredibly loud music . he's quick to push himself up , hand going to shut the audio off and closing the tab of his project before getting back on his chair and spinning in @summerwishes' direction . " wh — what ? no . i would never hide anything from you . " if they didn't already know he was bullshitting by his words , his actions sure did the most damage . he lets out a sigh , motioning for her to come into his bedroom . nothing ever felt right in steven's life when @everdawn wasn't by his side . he'd tried to turn it all around and make it right — tell her how he really feels but she threw him for a loop and wrecked both his plans and his entire being in one fell swoop . maybe he shouldn't have expected much from her but if anything , he really thought she felt the same way . until she was telling him she didn't want what he did and all of a sudden he didn't know what to think anymore .
