Hi! My name is Mae, she/they trans woman, aromantic and asexual.

I’m an aspiring writer and frequently post about the things I’m writing; a fantasy Untitled Fish People Book and a sci-fi story set in the same universe’s future, Starswimmer. Finally, I’m (very slowly) creating a game called Welcome to Sunport. All three of these are tagged as I have introduced them.

Main persisting interests that I talk about here are the criminally underrated Detective Beebo: Night at the Mansion, as well as Citizen Sleeper, Dimension 20, Deltarune, Dungeon Crawler Carl, Slay the Spire, and whatever else is on my mind. At the time of this post I have just begun watching the original Sailor Moon anime and will be posting about that quite a bit as well.

I’ve been making my way through homestuck. I’ve been told repeatedly that there are prominent fish people characters. I got so excited about Eridan and Feferi and then… well I won’t say spoilers but they fell out of prominence waaaaay too quickly. So there I was and then suddenly what should appear in the middle of a fight scene but

every chapter of deltarune has a secret npc who only appears if you leave and re-enter the room 1225 times while you have a bagel in your seventh inventory slot and the npc is a sentient doorknob and when you talk to them the music cuts out and they’re like “who’s that whispering in the trees, it’s two sailors and they’re on leave, pipes and chains and swinging hands, who’s your daddy, yes i am” and then within four hours there’s a thirty minute long video on youtube titled “ASGORE IS FRIEND??? DADDY THEORY EXPLAINED” and it already has 100,000 views and then a year later people call the next chapter disappointing because it was focusing too much on developing the main characters instead of explaining the doorknob guy

To be quite honest with you all I do think that aro/ace-spectrum fans in fandoms where people are desperately inventing crossover ships and humanizing non-human characters in order to have a conventionally attractive guy to ship the main character with, instead of possibly having to enjoy a story with no romance in it, have the right to refer to everyone else as cowards.
