I love this post.
I like the black version, but either way, it is a nice vehicle.

What inspired to Loc your hair?
Always loved natural hair styles, had longer hair in high school, wore it in cornrow styles, finally decided to pull the trigger and start locs after my first semester in College. Started with comb coils.
How long have you had your locs?
I’ve had my locs since January 5th, 2010. So going on 10 & a half years. I’ve trimmed them 3 or so times in that time frame.
Where do you go for loc maintenance?
I do them myself actually. Since i started them in college, at a PWI ,in a state without much natural hair culture (lol). I decided I needed to research (YouTube lol) and learn more about locs and how to maintain them properly on my own. Over the years that has meant learning about which products cause the most buildup, protective styles, proper frequency of re-twists, etc. After years of building those habits, even now that i am back in Dallas i still maintain my own locs, re-twisting into two-strand twists every 8 to 10 weeks.
What’s your favorite product?
My favorite product is not really a product but a technique. An apple cider vinegar rinse! Learning how to do and use them properly about 6 years ago, low key saved my loc journey, led to me being able to rejuvenate my locs from all the buildup that was continually causing issues before.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to loc their hair?
1) Research locs before you get them, start them with a real loctition if you can. 2) Locs can teach you many valuable skills, including patience, if you have the right mindset on your journey.
Random Question: If you had intro music, what song would it be? Why
Wipe Me Down. Cause I’m from Dallas and we love to dance & that’s what that Hood Classic makes you want to do. lol
