Day 2&3
Just realised these didn’t post! Bugger!
Day 2 was a bit of a ride off. Was supposed to go for a walk with Kate but double booked myself and ended up at a Nonna dinner 🙊a quick 12 minute HIT circuit was all I managed today.
Day 3. Back to work! The holidays are never long enough! Struggling to find the motivation to do anything today. Went for a short 30 minute stroll around the park at lunch. Not feeling it today!
Day5/365
Today consisted of a very early 6am circuit personal training session which has left me with jelly legs and a 5.6km walk with Kate around Kirrawee. Need to break the chocolate addiction which has stuck with me since Christmas! 🎄
Day 4/365
This morning I drove to a friends house to water their plants whilst they were away. They live a few suburbs over and there is a train station at the end of their street so I parked there and then caught the train into work. On the way home though I forgot to collect my car and it wasn't until my husband reminded me that I remembered! So my exercise for today consisted of a brisk walk to collect the car hahaha
Day 1: Time to hit the ground running, a brisk 6.5km walk to pick up the car which was left at a friends place after New Years festivities.
Setting Goals!
This lifestyle change/weight loss campaign didn’t actually start today on New Years Day. It started in September 2016 when I stood on the scales and saw the repeat of the past! I didn’t come as a surprise. I knew I had been over eating and I felt constantly bloated.

There is no strict deadline for meeting these goals but I do have some exciting occasions coming up this year that I want to be looking my best for:
March- my birthday and 3rd wedding anniversary May - Vietnam holiday (I would like to have lost at least 5kg by then) October- close friends wedding
Ultimately my goal is to prepare my body for one of the greatest privileges of a women’s life- falling pregnant and carrying our first born child. I want to have an active pregnancy, exercise and enjoy it and then maintain that after the Bub is born and through their life to set a positive example.
Let’s see where 365 days of exercise can get me!
The Begining
It’s 1am on New Years morning. I can’t seem to get to sleep but I have just come up with my new blog idea… ‘365 Days of Fit’
I’ve been interested in health and fitness for the past 6 years but I’ve struggled to really commit to losing and keeping off those pesky kilos. I have learned loads in this time and I feel like I have the tools, knowledge and confidence to actually make a real lifestyle change this time (not just a ‘diet’!).
Exercise is the obvious part. I found my love for exercise whilst working at a previous employer Healthmates Fitness Centre, joined a 12 week weight loss challenge, trained 1.5 hours everyday and smashed it, losing 22kg in 12 weeks. I then got engaged and kept the weight off and grew fitter and stronger every day! On my wedding day I was what I thought was perfect, I felt amazing in my own skin.
Then I changed jobs, found it hard to make the time for the daily workout and married life took over. I put on 10 kilos and no longer like the look of the person I see in the mirror. Now it is about choosing to make time in my day for exercise; but I also want more… I want to enjoy my exercise! This is my journey to make that happen.
The second part is food. I have learned so much about food in recent years. My concept of portion size, how much fills you up and, most importantly, what fills you up has completely changed. I found this life adjustment easier than the exercise. When I look at chips, chocolate, crisps and muffins I scowl and think 'You have made me the way I am!’. I’m not even attracted to those foods anymore. Whereas I find eating protein and nutrient filled meals very rewarding now.
I’ve been planning for a while about how to blog about my progress and ideas, and I think this might be the way to do it. I’ll post about the exercise I have done everyday for the next year; it may be a hardcore gym workout, trying out a new class or just an intense walk around the block at the weekend. Every bit of activity counts and a blog per day will hopefully be the pressure I need to get off the sofa when I’m feeling lazy.
I’m certainly no expert. Just another ordinary person trying to start a body transformation journey.
