Soldiers from the 36th Infantry Division during occupation duty in France in early 1919. A interesting group of soldiers and French civilians, some of the soldiers are wearing the newly approved T-Patch-the symbol of the 36th Division.

2-238th MEDEVAC Hoist Training on the USAV SP/4 James A. Loux
MEDEVAC training currently underway in the Arabian Gulf.
The 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, 36th Infantry Division is currently stationed in the Arabian Gulf providing command and control for aviation units in the region.

This image is from the 2008 comic series Sgt. Rock: The Lost Battalion. Written and drawn by comic superstar Billy Tucci, Sgt. Rock: The Lost Battalion retells the "last stand" by a small number of trapped 36 ID Infantrymen and their rescue.

Currently, Soldiers of the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, 36 ID are stationed in the Arabian Gulf, providing security to that region.
36th Infantry Division trains Afghan Security Forces
Last summer over 400 36 ID Soldiers deployed to Afghanistan to advise, train and assist Afghan security forces. The unit returned to the United States back in late August 2013.
