Pearl became very protective of Cleo. By that I mean, Pearl has almost died to make sure Cleo doesn't. Most of the time she's only protecting Cleo from a creeper or skeleton, but it's the thought that counts.
Before they actually admitted to being in love (or alternatively, any time during last life) both Cleo and Pearl would gush about each other to Scott. Scott was sick of them both but accepted it considering he had done it himself during empires.
Cleo is Pearl's impulse control. Pearl tries to do a lot of stupid things that could get her hurt so Cleo makes sure she either doesn't get hurt doing it or just makes sure she doesn't do it.
One time, Scott walked in on them cuddling in the green room. Cleo really held up to her name because she kept trying to deny that ever happened.
Cleo and Pearl will make cute little gifts for each other like the cute little couples necklaces. They sometimes wear them on hermitcraft just for the sake of it.
Gem is like their child and Impulse the family friend who isn't horrible and is always there so he is considered part of the family.
These two would get 100s of cats if they could. Wlw cat mothers + found family dynamics?? Yep, that's them.

its pretty common to see cleo bandage and heal up an injured pearl while scolding her lovingly cause of how many times pearl tried to protect her from a creeper or skeleton
scott just sighed in disbelief that these two women are simultaneously the smartest women he knew but are dumb enough to not see the other’s feelings for them, but he doesn’t say anything cause he did the same
again, it’s not uncommon to see cleo healing up a injured pearl or trying to talk pearl out of doing something stupid and dangerous
scott often teases the both of them for it, mainly cleo due to how quickly she starts to deny it
they have multiple jewelry boxes that are just flooded with both couple jewelry and regular jewelry and it’s pretty common to see them wear at least two pieces of matching couples jewelry
YES gem is their quietly chaotic only child who cleo actively encourages to commit crimes while impulse is the one who unintentionally makes situations worse while trying to diffuse said situation, theyre the loud family down the street that mostly everyone loves despite the fact that they consistently woken everyone up at 10pm every night for the past week and a half
they would !!! they have nugget ofc but also two other black kitties named void and molasses, void is completely deaf-blind cause she has no ears and no eyes and is missing a leg while molasses is missing most of her tail and needs a wheelchair cause molasses got an injury that made her unable to use her back legs so now she’s using a wheelchair to get around, pearl n cleo love all three of them dearly even when molasses rolls over their feet by mistake
