I’ve been thinking a lot about how wacky it is that the official mcdonalds tumblr has not posted in over 3 years. This is the world’s most well known food establishment, and for some reason someone in their marketing department has just completely dropped the ball on this website’s marketing efforts. Back in the late 90’s I used to work across the street from a gas station, and I would go in there all the time to buy smokes. Although back then most places wouldn’t even card a 12 year old, the guy who worked behind the counter was kind of a hard on and carded me every single time.

At the time drivers licenses were laminated paper, and not the hard plastic of today. The corner on mine was peeling a tiny bit, and he would pick at it every time, like he was inspecting its authenticity. I kept telling him not to because he was making it worse (this was also before renewing online was a thing and getting a new license involved spending the better part of a weekday at the DOL).
