comments like this make me realize there are people with such extreme ideas of what poverty vs wealth looks like that 2 cars = a level of wealth beyond understanding when you can go to any homestead out in the boonies and ask what car you can blow up or kick or shoot and be led out to a field of 10 cars exclusively meant for blowing up kicking or shooting. No they havent paid the water bill and if a government agent comes onto the land they havent had the gunsafe locked since 1967. But they do have a car for you to blow up kick or shoot.

Huge shout to my friend from an undergraduate philosophy program who started working out every single day, not for health benefits or to become conventionally attractive or whatever, but because -- and this is a direct quote -- he was concerned that otherwise he might "become lost in the world of signs and forget the things they signify". I have thought about this every single time that I've worked out since.
