Great article on exploratory testing.
Web Development: Learn How to Learn
This is a Testomato blog entry worth a look.
And here is another article I recommend those who are interested in learning theories should check out:

10 Essential Skills Every Web Developer Should Have
Testing is mentioned as one of the ten essential skills on the Testomato blog.
I was introduced to the concept of inattentional blindness during Pre-Training portion of the STeP course by watching National Geographic Channel videos about Brain Games. To learn more, check out Brain Games on the National Geographic Channel on Youtube.
I also highly recommend watching this video about the challenges facing software testers. It features James Bach.

A Public Service Announcement about Exploratory Testing
I have an embarrassing confession to make. Although it has been but a short while since I have completed the Software Testing Education Program (STeP) offered at Per Scholas, my mind still becomes muddled whenever I try to delineate the difference(s) between exploratory testing and rapid software testing (RST). This post is my attempt to condense and distill it to its most bare-bones essence so that I can refer back to it in the future whenever my mind becomes fatigued and shuts down.
This article by James Bach (available here at http://www.satisfice.com/blog/) explains and clarifies the difference between exploratory testing and rapid software testing (RST) methodology. Exploratory testing is not testing per se but an approach to testing (as I was told by Paul Holland). RST is a methodology. The inspired tester creates and executes a test plan to seek out bugs. The approach the tester decides to take to hunt bugs is exploratory; the method by which the tester goes about to find these bugs (i.e., how and what the tester does to find bugs) constitutes the methodology.

Ministry of Testing: Test Tools
The staggering array and diversity of test tools available on the web may be hard for the novice tester to hunt down so the Ministry of Testing website (i.e., Software Testing Club) has already down the hard work and collated the links on one page for testers to try out.
The links are grouped and organized according to the list of sections given below. If you are a tester, this list of links may elicit warm, happy, fuzzy feelings from your soul. For a tester, it is the equivalent of being a kid again (albeit one with a massive sweet tooth) who has been released in a candy store whose shelves are overflowing with candy.
