Whistler Guide for Families
It is very exciting to showcase all the destinations and adventure places of BC Canada. This review contains an exclusive on the best hotel rooms, and travel experience that Canada has to offer. If you are a family from Canada, then you are in luck. We do value your information. After all it takes a native to understand their home fully. Whatever surprises any family that visits the Whistler ski resort is the vastness of the place. Just how large could it be. As we realized during our trip on winter; there is no way you can sample out the fun and glamour of Whistler ski resort in a single day. It takes time.
Here at Whistler there is always consideration for everyone’s perspectives. For that reason there are the beginner, intermediate, and expert terrains. Where do you think you fit? With the amazing features out there, like the Blackcomb peak, you are assured to stick with your family all day. And when your traveling as a family - hotels can often be both cramped and expensive - Consider one of the many luxury Whistler house rentals. You get all the amenities of the hotels with 3x the space!
My experience of merely two days was memorable; funny enough I didn’t get to explore the whole place in two days. For any new-comer I would suggest that you explore more of the Blackcomb area. It is less trafficked and has little crowds. You could take this opportunity to polish your skiing skills. Or you could have your alone time. Here are a few tips for your trip, they are mostly for those passionate in skiing and riding—and also the gamers.
1. You Should Take Advantage of the Host Services At the Mountain
It is true to say that for most families, they avoid the ski school. The reason is simple, they want some alone time. Whistler gives you the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. You are allowed to sign up for family lessons. One great advantage about this is that you get to enjoy daily front line access of well, about anything great. I should also not forget to mention that the instructor is there to guide you through every corner of the resort. With time you will get to know the place like the palm of your hand. Lastly there is the mountain host, who gives you a complementary guide of the place, once you opt out of the lessons.
2. There’s No Need Wasting A Lot Of Time Around the Mountain
Some families could move around the resort locations all day, that is very tiring. It is possible to access all levels of the terrain from lifts. In case you were afraid of overcrowded lifts, then don’t, all the crowded lifts are well managed. You are assured to be at your favorite spot on time.
3. You Should Try To Find Family Friendly Zones
When I talk of family friendly I don’t imply that there are risk areas in Whistler; no, the truth is that Whistler makes sure that almost all of the areas there are fun for the family. I would recommend my favorite. Just to right of Roundhouse Lodge is a terrain of parks, glade skiing and finally, the Whistler Tree Fort.
4. Voila! Game Stations Within Mountain Lodges
For all those game buffs Whistler provides fun for every family in most of the resort areas. There are numerous Nintendo video gaming stations, they are virtually everywhere in the lodges. This approach helps you and your family to relax your minds. One fun fact is that all those stations come with all the latest Nintendo Wii games. Once you discover this trick; you will have plenty of time to spend time in the outside skiing and in the inside, of course, you will be playing mind games.
5. Here’s A Chance To Ride Across All Peaks.
One of the most notable things that I noticed during my trip was Whistler’s superb tram. It spans from the Blackcomb and Whistler peaks. You should not look at it simply as a mode of transport in and out of the mountains. It is a fun ride that is included in your lift ticket. If you take a ride that lasts about 20 minutes, then you have an opportunity to take photos of the beautiful scenery that Whistler has to offer. I would advise you to make sure you are well prepared for the tram. All it takes is to be fun minded.
