The design was made by reducing HiveWing and SilkWings to core traits that aren't present on NightWings. SilkWings, despite apparently being unrelated to NightWings, have the most physical similarities to NightWings compared to HiveWings. This was probably like an oversight, but i thought it was interesting (albeit a bit frustrating at times) nonetheless.

HiveWings are digitigrade whilst SilkWings and NightWings are plantigrade, although in certain illustrations SilkWings are depicted with digitigrade hind legs (but this isn't present on the official reference). Because there was a digitigrade dragon in there somewhere, I safely assumed BeetleWings likely had digitigrade hind legs.

The wings combine both the HiveWing transparent wings (the smaller secondary pair) and the opaque patterned SilkWing wings (larger top pair).

Donnie very obviously tries to pretend to be the Bad Boy or Unbothered etc etc and he often has forced half-lidded eyes to appear calm and disinterested. But we all can agree thats a facade and something he attempts to do but often fails at doing, right??
