Several weeks ago I posted out of frustration because so many of my posts are being flagged as explicit after they’ve been up and circulating. Mind you these are SFW photos that have not had to go through an appeal process. I’d vented because the only way they are being flagged after the fact is that someone or someone(s) out there are reporting them. Yes I know. Motherfuckers.

I write this morning a little grieved and sad as I see posts being circulated about this very thing happening to other bloggers out there. I think it’s probably unnecessary to defame anyone and speculate as to who it may be. We will never know who is reporting. Whether they cowardly hide behind being an anon (whom we don’t allow to follow or message us) or they are fellow bloggers who actually put on one face here and behind the keyboard are someone else we will also never know. Don’t we want to lift each other up and not scroll suspiciously?

WHAT I DO KNOW is that jealousy, envy and greed are poisonous. They grow roots of BITTERNESS that infest people to do hateful and ugly things. Whether it be racism regarding the color of your skin, your sexuality, your gender, who or what you believe in, how you choose to dress, your profession…..OR WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO POST ON YOUR PAGE isn’t there enough JUDGEMENT in this world already?

Today I ask you pass this on so that we can use the most beautiful parts of us that exist

(OUR HEARTS AND MINDS) I ask that if you are someone who has been or is tempted to report others out of the above mentioned that you would CHOOSE to not follow that person, block them so there is no temptation or even delete your tumblr app and try other sites.

Shame on you Tumblr

Shame on you Tumblr for betraying the thousands upon thousands of people who made (past tense) this app great and put you on the world map. You and each individual member grew up here together here but you decided to try and better deal us all. That was a mistake that you will soon regret. It’s not our fault that your filters failed to work as they should have. You lumped us all into the same category but we are not all the same, the ones you categorize as adult content. The things we don’t like we simply don’t follow, or we block. Well let my place you in a category Tumblr. You are like a person who has abandoned their spouse, blinded by the hopes of better dealing them. You are abandoning your family, your first true love, the members who made you who you are today. I predict the members who stay and any new ones to come will plague you with reports of adult content, the Mr. Holier than thou and the Miss Goody two shoes. They will report anything and everything that offends their personal standards of ethics, until you begin to flag what they consider is descent. You will flag open toe shoes and pedicure pics, citing that it suggest sexual content. And then shorts that are too short, citing that they should be knee length. Then a woman’s nipples that are visible through her shirt even though she’s clearly wearing a bra, citing that she should wear a thicker bra. Where does the nonsense end? Where does this censorship end? You just think you’ve opened up a can of worms now, just wait to you offend all those people who think they do no wrong! Besides, most of what you see on Tumblr anyway isn’t much different than what you can see on TV after 10 pm. You have decided to divorce your first true love, the members that made you (past tense) a great app, but it’s still not too late to call off the divorce. I for one will not take you back if and when it goes through. As the saying goes, “You’ve made your bed…now lie in it”.

A word about APPLE: I work at a place that employees 1000s of people and you know how many people on average has that kind of phone? Maybe 1 out of 20 employees do, and do you know why that is? Because most people don’t like them. Previous Apple users almost always upgrade to an Android when their contract is up. If you move to an area that has poor signal strength with the current carrier, what do you do? You get a phone from another carrier with better signal strength. You dump that carrier. If you have an Apple phone and they decide to drop Tumblr’s app because of adult content, does that mean that customer is done with adult content forever? Of course not, it means that you get rid of that stupid Apple phone and buy a phone that carries Tumblr’s app on it!! The same applies with their PCs. Apple should be the one getting punished but you have decided to punish your members, which will ultimately result in your house being cleaned alright, except it will be cleaned to the point of being totally dissolved. Then maybe, just maybe, you will know how we feel. Another great app will rise to replace you, and time will show what a dire mistake you made.

So far the only difference I've found between MeWe and Tumblr is you cannot just follow anyone. They have to accept your invite to follow which I'm not complaining about at all. Even the layout is pretty similar. Other than that you can more than just ❤ pics. I haven't seen any gifs or vids yet as I only have a couple friends from Tumblr there so far and it seems we are dipping our toes to see what all they allow. At this moment I think MeWe will be tumblrs replacement come the 18th.
