The Almighty provides you with tools to accomplish what you want. You can use technology to become lazy and fat. Between my Lose It app, Finalsurge, Facebook notices from Runners World/inspiration from fellow runners, GPS watch, ...technology's working for me.

Marathon Man

I did it! My very first marathon. 26.2 miles. The 50 Tools for Life work for whatever you want to accomplish.

Accounting

I lost weight using the Lose It app which helps you keep track of calories and weight loss. I'm using a calendar of miles from Go St. Louis to train for a marathon. Both are systems of accounting and charting progress. It seems that keeping an account of progress is a very effective tool for almost anything. This is one small part of one of the 50 Tools for Life.

Do you have a dream?

Sages say a dream can be 1/60 prophetic. But when you "dream" i.e. aspire, it can be 100% prophetic. (Can't be it, if you don't dream it.)

Inner consistency

If you are congruent and consistent, you have power. Say what you mean, and mean what you say, and people will take you seriously.

Gratitude

Gratitude is one of the 50 Tools for Life. Don't sell it short; it can be very powerful. It hinges on humility, one of the most powerful tools of all that leads to the fountain of truth. Thank you all for reading these posts.

The Almighty Hints

You never know how the Almighty might be hinting to you how to be more successful. Look for hints everywhere. Even in the small things. Even in feces. Nothing in the universe is devoid of a Divine message.

Pray however YOU want

Prayer does not have to be what those that came before you have done. You can decide how and when you want to talk to God. You can define your relationship with the Infinite. Its between you and the Almighty, and nobody else needs to know about it. The Almighty's privacy settings are totally secure.

Obsession

(My wife calls it "obsessed" when I do it but...) Being enthusiastically "saturated" with whatever topic you want to excel at helps in any area of accomplishment. I got the Running World magazine, ate, slept, and talked about running for the past 6 months, until now, one week from my first half-marathon. I'm ready. Joy is up to you

One man’s dream is another man’s nightmare. An acquaintance told me that he couldn’t stand the family business in the country in the south of France making cognac and cheese. He’s glad he “escaped” that life. I’m sure that is another person’s dream life. So much of life is our own subjective attitude.

anonymous definition of love I saw on the internet - 

"Love is a feeling of strong connection and attachment those are persuaded by extreme delight and admiration; dedication and devotion to each other along with affection and tenderness." 

The sentence isn't grammatical but I agree with the basic words being used. What do you think?

Think about it for life

Some things take time to think about. Don't give up or get frustrated if you haven't decided what life is all about after thinking about it for one day. Think about it a little bit for the rest of your life.
