smart until infected with stupid. . . you think you're safe don't you? you are probably the responsible one in the group, perhaps even the mom friend. you are relatively smart but all it takes is one little thing to suck all your braincells out. it could be hanging around your fellow stupid friends, it could be being left alone, it could be having a bit too much fun. the stupid lives inside you and it just takes the right environment for it to show.

garrett's brow furrows , looking up from his plate , where he'd been pushing around the , admittedly , amazing looking dinner . he's just out of it , he's tired & his dad won't stop texting him & he's going to fail this stupid philosophy class because of jared - or whatever his name is . none of which is tuck's fault & he's an asshole , again . he takes his first actual bite before he smiles . โ i never said that , tuck , & it's not true . plus , between us , if anyone else were here i'd have to share this food & i ain't doing that . what fruit are you up to now for sig tau ? you still hiding it from dean ? โ
john had almost instantly gotten used to being the chef of the house. the second he'd unloaded his truck and caught sight of the cabinets - more barren than death valley - he'd asked around if anybody objected to him making them meals foe the week. weeks that his mom sent him care packages were even better, and the restock of snacks and sauces paired with the sun finally showing itself for the first time in for-fucking-ever meant tucker was definitely getting out the grill.
the smile on his friend's face was enough payment, finally sitting down next to him and grabbing his own plate. he wanted to press about garrett's weird mood, curiosity getting the better of him. "you better leave enough for everyone - your tutor, too. she coming over today?" he couldn't help the small smirk that showed up as he took a bite. "there's an orange in my gym bag. i'm telling you 'cause if it goes missin' i'm soaking your shaker cup in garlic and wasabi."
