I'm looking at these two FIFA half time performance promo photos, both cropped from group photos, and the first thing I notice is Jungkook's hand on Jimin's shoulder.
I don't know if this says more about him or me, but here's what I see:
In the first photo, Jungkook is casually resting his arm on Jimin's shoulder. His hand is relaxed and his fingers naturally bend at the knuckles.
In the second photo, Jungkook is not leaning his arm on Jimin but his hand is placed in a similar position as in the first photo, just a bit closer to Jimin's neck. Jungkook's hand is held quite stiffly in this photo and his fingers are flattened against Jimin's shoulder.
As usual, my first question is
Why is his hand in such an unnatural and, by the look of it, uncomfortable position in the second photo?
It's useful at this point to look at the uncropped original photo...
If he wanted to draw in closer for the framing of the photo surely it would be more comfortable to put his arm around Jimin's waist?
But he's so close already it seems unnecessary to get closer for the sake of the shot.
Another plausible option is that since almost everyone has their arms around one another, he wanted to also show that sense of companionship and closeness.
But if that was the case, why not put his hand on Jimin's other shoulder?
That's is a far more natural and comfortable pose, which is why everyone else is positioned that way.
Jungkook isn't even resting his hand on Jimin's shoulder, he has it awkwardly perched over and in front. I don't think he's aiming for comfortable.
I know I'm drawing this out but it's good to be thorough so let's look at any other possible reasons:
Could he be pulling Jimin's shoulder to get him to move back for some reason?
Doubtful, since he's jammed right up behind Jimin already and there's no space for Jimin to move back.
Could he be trying to improve the photo composition or aesthetic?
Not likely. It honestly looks kinda weird.
I can't think of any other practical reason for this.
So if there's no practical purpose for that hand to be there, there's really only one other option I can see - he has a personal reason for doing this.
I'm just going to go ahead and state the obvious:
If Jungkook had placed his hand on Jimin's other shoulder or around his waist, the tattoo wouldn't be as visible.
If Jungkook had let his fingers fall naturally, again, the tattoo wouldn't be visible.
He's displaying that tattoo the way a newly engaged woman would display her ring. Making sure it's visible as a proclamation of his relationship status.
And he's making sure everybody knows who he's connected to...
The fact that it's Jimin's shoulder he's draped that tattooed hand over leaves absolutely no question about that.
I don't think a lawyer could write a more watertight statement of claim than what we see in this photo.
We get it Kookie, he's your man.
