"One week she's italian. The next week it's japanese. And now this one is... Is..."
"Is what, dad? A mutant?"
"Maybe this isn't my place to say, Mr. Drake... But over the years, Bobby has told me a lot about you. He said you were an honest man, a hard worker, a veteran of war and a loving husband. Maybe it was just because he didn't know, for sure, before today... But he never mentioned you were a bigot."

Read full summary.
“Outlaw heroes once again, the X-Men embark on a new mission! Making themselves at home in the Big Easy, the X-Men protect a world that hates and fears them! Join Rogue, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Jubilee, and Wolverine on explosive super hero adventures. Uncanny as ever, the X-Men are back to saving the day mutant-style!
“I think X-Fans are special in that we identify with having something different about us...and you're going to feel that in this book, and what it means to have that thing about you that's different, or exceptional. We go deep into the emotional part of that," Simone told the crowd.
"David Marquez is the perfect artist for this book," she continued. "He does amazing action, amazing character work, and he’s really excited about getting into the characters appearing in this book. I knew from the very first panel that this book was going to be super exciting and gorgeous. He just knows how to knock it out of the park!"
Release date: Aug. 7th.

"How terrible! I can believe that handsome mutant is an innocent victim." "Hey, Rogue, is he really your type?" "Don't you just love the innocent and honest look?" "I think you just like a man who is all muscle."

How old was Rogue when she first appeared?
hi! rogue's age was officially revealed in uncanny x-men (1963) #182. she was 18 when she first joined the x-men. before joining the x-men, rogue had been a villain for a while but her fight with carol danvers was relatively recent. so i can't really provide you with an offcial answer of how old she was when she first appeared in avengers (1963) #10 [annual of 1981], but she would be either 18 or 1-2 years younger (at most). it is also official that rogue is just a few years older than shadowcat. hope that was helpful to you!

Hi! Could you please tell me what are the most important/necessary comics about Rogue? I was recommended a list with all her appearances but obviously it IS A LOT! and I just want the most relevant stuff about her.
hi! here's a detailed reading guide of rogue: rogue.carrd.co. there's a main guide and a guide containing all her appearances. if you only want to read her most relevant issues, go to the main guide. all the must-read titles are italicized, and the must-read issues are bolded.
the must-read titles are: uncanny x-men (1963), rogue (2001), x-men (1991), gambit (1993), rogue (1995), x-treme x-men (2001), rogue (2004), x-men: legacy (2008), uncanny avengers (2012), uncanny avengers (II), avengers (2016), rogue & gambit (2017), mr. and mrs. x (2018). next up are all the recent titles she has been in, which are important to read due to the x-men's latest reboot: excalibur (2019), x-men (2021), rogue & gambit (2023) and uncanny avengers (2023).
to see which issues you should read on the titles i mentioned (and in which order), check the reading guide i provided and read the bolded issues. hope that was helpul to you!
I read someone asking about the comic where Rogue was (allegedly) raped.
That happened?😶
hi! yes, rogue is sexually assaulted off-panel in uncanny x-men (1963) #236. this scene is recreated in x-men: legacy (2008) #221 and mr. and mrs. x (2018) #9. there's nothing explicit in any of the issues, but if this topic is potentially triggering to you, you should read them with caution.
Is there a definite canon on whether the recent Rogue & Gambit mini series or their arc in Captain Marvel happens first? The CM arc came out before, but the couple is in a better place like they are at the end of the mini series. Plus that flashback in issue #3 doesn't fit anywhere with Rogue worrying about Carol's powers but able to kiss Gambit (and the reference to her telling Remy she loved him the first time isn't what happened). It seems like the mini could take place in an au.
hi! both of those story-arcs are completely canon. rogue & gambit (2023) #5 actually does hold importance in the current timeline and plays a big part in fall of x, but i understand the skepticism. but all the plot-holes and incongruences are stephanie phillips' fault. there was also an evident lack of comunication between the writers from rogue & gambit (2023) and captain marvel (2019), and that's why it's unclear when (or in which order) both of these stories take place. it's quite common for this to happen in comics but it could've been clarified with a simple note. it's very likely that the captain marvel (2019) story-arc took place first, and then rogue & gambit (2023) - that's the only way it would all make sense. i recommend you to not analyze rogue & gambit (2023) too much. as i said on a previous post, it wasn't a good comic for them, as a couple and as individual characters. if you have any difficulties following rogue's chronological appearences, you can check this reading guide.
