What is Timbr.me?

Tumblr is changing: starting December 17, 2018, adult content will not be allowed on the site anymore. All existing content will be permanently hidden.

Yet Tumblr always was a safe space for NSFW artists and performers who have built and maintained diverse communities with hundreds of thousands of followers. More than 500K people signed petitions to reverse the change.

Here comes Timbr.me. We here will try to save as much as possible until the deadline. We start with copying blog content blog-by-blog. We are backing up all blog posts, photos and videos to Google Cloud and making them viewable forever. To save your own and your favorite blogs just enter their names on the main page.

Soon we will add an option to log in with Tumblr account to save your favorite posts and show you the feed of the blogs you follow. And of course we’ll allow blog owners will be able to add content right here on Timbr.me after Tumblr closes its doors.

Dear Followers,

Thank you so much for your continued support. It’s been a wild ride these past 6 years and I thank you all for indulging me and my tastes. Whether you’ve been following me from the beginning or just hopped on, thank you. You’ve helped grow this blog from nothing to 25k+ of you. I’ve had so much fun.

Whatever happens after the 12/17 purge, just know, I appreciate each and every one of you.

just to be clear, I’m staying here as long as this site functions. I have 0 intentions of deleting this blog, I will go down with this ship if only to see exactly how bad it gets

I just read that as of December 17th Tumblr is banning images and videos that contain adult content including pornography. No images or videos of sex acts will be allowed. Nor will it allow real-life genitals or female presenting nipples except for in cases such breastfeeding, etc. Accounts found in violation of the rules will be made private. This is very sad but probably came about because of the child pornography issue which caused Apple to remove the Tumblr app from their app store.

A big thanks, hug, and kisses to all that I've encountered over the years, you will all be remembered and missed!!!

It should go without saying, start saving every pic and video you can before December 17th when Tumblr as we know it ceases to exist.
