i passed my CFI initial today!! ☺️ (at North Las Vegas Airport)

also: i don't want to spin an airplane ever again

#i'll be ready to fight future students if they ever put me in a spin lmao #i get way too nauseous for that #(halfway kidding about the students thing tho..)

the other day i was doing steep turns from the right seat and they were absolutely, horribly ugly. two flights worth of ugly turns and i couldn’t figure out why as i’d just done some pretty great looking ones for my multi-commercial ride a month ago. i was feeling pretty shitty about it and i couldn’t understand what was going wrong. and then, it hit me.. i was forgetting to add back-trim like i was taught and i potentially just saved my very upcoming MEI ride.

#all i need to do now is just remember to configure before i start the maneuver and i should be good #i can't wait til this part is OVER

commercial single is outta the way and now CFI is kicking my ass (in case you’re wondering)

i passed my commercial multi engine checkride a week ago and this week i knocked out the last two written exams i ever have to do in the foreseeable future and gearing up to begin the CFI course next week. but before that it appears that i’m gonna do commercial single before i start CFI..

the last part of that gets me because i was taught that airplanes were less maneuverable than rotorcraft and have the right-of-way, using the BGAR acronym. and i swear i thought it was even stated in the FARs (i've just looked it up but it's not there).

#maybe i'm really wrong?#or just unaware that As and Rs are now considered equally maneuverable #🤔
