Fresh Start

I'm buying a house on my own.

I was talking to my captain about perfection on perhaps my last trip of my career with Horizon. He's an aerobatic pilot, oozing with skill when I see him fly. I expressed my frustration and feelings of ebb and flow with aviation. He mentioned that the farther you go, the longer your plateaus are, and to wait until my bad stretches go for a thousand hours. Moreover, he complimented me, and stated that at 1,200 I have better airmanship than he had. I just need to keep working on it, and not feel complacent.

I got a new job. East coast. I’m happy.

I switched my wings from real ones, to small metal junior wings that they pass out to little kids on Alaska flights. It's been four days and no one's said anything.

I’m moving back to the East Coast. I’ll be packing up shop here in Seattle and moving to NoVA at the end of March.

That event is done. Networked my ass off, but I'm still not hired by the majors...yet. .
