OPEN SPECIES: Amera Species

This is a current information of the species (22/07/2026). WIP.

Intro The Amera species consists of powerful but gentle (ahem, lazy) creatures. Normally independent from each other, they like to bask in the sun together once they find each other in nature.

Anatomy The Amera species has two forms: Feral and anthro. Due to their magic via horn they can swap from both forms, but, the anthro form will always be at least a meter smaller than the feral form. Their overall build consists of: At least 1 horn, claws, tail, wings, bulky arms, neck fluff, ears on the side of head.

Horn: All shapes thinkable! No number limit! The only thing they seem to have in common is that at least one of the horns will be in the middle of the forehead, for self defense and from being connected to the brain. Claws: Always sharp, mostly the same color as the horn, but not a staple. Tail: Balance is needed! Wings: All shapes and forms! Just need to exist. Bulky arms: Strong… Neck fluff: For the colder nights, they like to nuzzle each other in there! Ears on the sides: I mean… Anatomy wise… Makes sense.

The Amera also come in a variety of colors, but more commonly they tend to follow a pattern: One base color with 2 gradient colors that follow each other in hue. As for their eyes, they like to stare, people have legends that they can hipnotize you with the fact they have 3 colors normally for the eyes but… Yeah that's a myth, they're too lazy for that. Sex: They don't really have it in feral form, but that's why the anthro form exists! Oh, and their skin is also very resistent! Able to take hits from swords even, do not attempt, it will mess their fur. Can be found with up to a hundred fifty years. Not a staple.

Behaviour Amera is commonly a very… low energy species. They like to sleep for long hours and be lazy aaaaall day… But they are very social with each other, you can even find them bathing each other in waterfalls! It is widely known they aren't hostile… Unless provoked. But then, they'll mostly warn you off since to attack it is needed to move, and no Amera would like sticky blood on their soft fur! Very vain species, ocasionally steal ribbons and fabric to adorn their horns or complement their fur. Also brush each other's fur with their claws! They also have this weird habit of staring and moving their heads, like an owl understanding the depth of their location… Except they do it for no reason at all, just a species wide habit. Diet: Ornivore, but normally eat fruit. Hunting is annoying.

Trivia: Extremely smart, equivalent to a human, but often pretend to be like animals to avoid general conflict and interaction. They do talk! They just… don't really care… Body language is all they need from each other. If you don't mind that they just exist beside you instead of chatting, they are very good listeners! Hunters ocasionally try going at them for their extremely soft fur, resistent claws and skin, heads as trophies… Doesn't work very well. Do not have a hierarchy or something, they just see each other as they are: cuties!
