Here's a link to an article about the study from the Stanford Report: link.
Across three preregistered studies, participants interacting with sycophantic AI became more convinced of their own rightness and less willing to repair relationships. Yet at the same time, participants rated sycophantic AI models as higher quality, more trustworthy, and more desirable for future use, which may explain why this behavior has persisted despite its harmful impacts.

I'm not from the US but this will have ramifications for all countries moving forward.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Kids Internet and Digital Safety Act 29 June, advancing a broad package of online child safety
Actions on H.R.7757 - 119th Congress (2025-2026): KIDS Act

I don't know too much about the first source I linked so will update this post if I find anything as I look into it.

Buried inside the KIDS Act are provisions that will push online services to verify all users’ ages, require government-directed moderation p
Like the man said…the shadow takes another form and ruses again. Time to make some calls and let them know we’re watching.
