The Talking Headsâ 5th studio album was released on 1 June 1983.
After releasing their first 4 albums in a little more than 3 years, the band took a hiatus, and when they returned to the studio in July 1982 it was without Brian Eno as producer, and the band decided to produce Speaking in Tongues themselves.
The album would prove to be the groupâs best-selling album to that point, selling more than 1 million copies and peaking at #15 on the US charts. The album included the single âBurning Down the House,â which peaked at #9 in the US and remains the bandâs only Top Ten single.
