just ordered 2 of these guys!! ((1 for a backup) I always regret not doing that sooo here we are)) - this girl in a book I am reading got a cow plush as a gift, idek why but it touched me a lot bc as an adult it was her first plush ever (had an insanely abusive childhood aaaaa) - I have only been buying teddy bears recently, trying to get my plushie addiction narrowed down but I always wanted a cow plush anyway so I am rolling with it!! ♡

ironically enough, bringing a plushie to a public setting as an adult requires a tremendous level of emotional development, and attempting to shame an adult for having a plushie in public requires a significant amount of immaturity. this applies to a surprising number of things.

tips on (re)bonding with your plush`♡

carry them around at home and/or keep them displayed at all times

change their name to a more suitable/desirable one

try tagging them along when running errands

make them new accessories or play dress-up

put some sound on the background and try puppeteering them

talk to them more often

just play with them!!

make them a playlist and/or a moodboard

take them on trips/appointments/sleepovers

try taking more pictures of them (esp. if you're addicted to the plushie content online)

I’m so emotional about dinosaur stuffed animals,,, there are these creatures, extinct long before any of us were alive, but we found their bones and their eggs and their footprints. And we made drawings and models of what they could’ve looked like. And we made them into stuffed animals so we could hold them. We made them soft so we could love them. I’m sobbing

Yeah, we're the animal so preoccupied with petting other animals we're sort of collectively upset there are animals we never get to pet, so we make proxies to snuggle and tell their ghosts we'd have loved them if they were here.
