driftuan:
it’s quiet, the only sound coming from the background. it doesn’t matter. everything is glittering silver, drops of water clinging to jiyeon’s hair before falling to her shoulders. water flows from mark’s temple as well, trailing the skin of his neck before rolling down onto his white shirt. she tries to stand from her position on top of him who had cushioned her almost-fall into the lake. before jiyeon could protest, his arms find her shoulders, keeping her there. he coughs lightly, it’s cold, and yet comfortable at the same time. “admit it, you’re literally falling for me.” he leans up, the water rolling onto her. it makes the fabric of her clothes stick to her frame, like a second skin. it’s hard to look away. too hard. it’s even harder to stop himself from leaning in.
“sorry.” he whispers, an inch away from her face. his hand slides down to find her scraped forearm. mark pulls back and cleans her arm, rubbing it as gently as he could. he gives it a kiss, like cherry on top of a cake, as if it could take away her pain. he doesn’t know why he doesn’t stop there. it’s probably because of the silver painting her face. it’s magic, when he moves in, soft lips parting hers.
“hey, hey, look.” she teased, standing on one foot and leaning over to one side. it wouldn’t be a lie to say that mark had been telling her to be more careful but it also wouldn’t be a lie to say that bona had completely ignored each and every one of those warnings. “wait, i--” she yelps once she had tipped over to one side too much and lost her balance.
she closes her eyes in panic, bracing herself for impact which never came. reluctantly, she opens her eyes only to see herself on top of the older male, his hands keeping her in place. she feels her heart start to race, her breath hitched, unable to form the words she needed. “falling for you? please.” she mumbles slowly under her breath, a desperate way to play it cool. she watches him an inch away from her face to pressing a kiss on the scratch on her arm. she watches him quietly and when his face leans in closer to hers, she subconsciously holds her breath. “mark-” she’s stopped short when she feels his lips on hers before leaning forward to return the kiss, grasping the the hem of his shirt out of shyness.
