Moar Speed !!

There are plenty of tutorials on Internet on how to lower ping and thus reduce lag on multiplayer games. This is just another one out of the blue, but I thought it might be a good idea to share what I use to higher my Internet speed. Don’t forget that the server is in Canada.

First of all, you probably need to know your Internet Speed and Ping before doing these steps.

Use Ethernet Cable over WiFi Now I know not all of you can afford a cable to connect to your modem, but it does reduce both ping and lag. It might even be impossible to use a cable in a 3 floors house, but if you can, prefer the Ethernet Cable.

Use AdBlockPlus This will only work for browsers, but it is the best thing you can have on a computer.

Change your DNS This might look off topic, but it isn’t. Change your DNS for the Google Public DNS.

Optimize your Network Card This is something you probably don’t want to do alone. Run SG TCP Optimizer as administrator, tell it your Internet Speed, select the optimal settings and let it do the magic for you.
