would you still love me if i had this theme?
the divorce papers would hit you so fast that you’d need reconstructive surgery.
“Oh that animal doesn’t LIKE you it just TOLERATES you” …..So? If that’s the most a non-social organism can feel towards you isn’t that just as special an honor as whatever it is you think affection means??
“This creature with no natural social instincts outside of mating allows me to freely interact with it, while causing it little stress” is fucking DOPE AS SHIT
| That’s…. not how that works
This woman deserves an oscar

Person in scrubs: This was a conversation I had while working at a retail pharmacy.
Person in scrubs: Hi ma’am, how can I help you today?
Customer: [rude, sounding bored] I need to refill my birth control.
Scrubs: Sure, let me check on that. Hm, it looks like you’re a little early. Did the doctor change the way you’re taking it?
Customer: [snidely] No, he told me exactly how to take it and that’s exactly how I’m taking it.
Scrubs: Okay, why don’t you tell me how you’re taking it, and I’ll make sure we wrote the correct directions the first time.
Customer: [rudely] I take one every morning at 8 AM, and so does my boyfriend.
Scrubs: [long pause, blinking] What?
I am shrieking with laughter but only because if I don’t laugh I will burst into tears.
appears it has some use for fellow artists sooo
It’s how the light makes the jacket shine (or not) in places its smooth vs places it has alot of wrinkles and movement! The examples of the cylinders on the right show how adding rough edges would change the coloration within jackets colors!
“Ma'am, I understand you need to empty out your desk, but–”
It has just occurred to me that OP was talking about a breakup.
No wait yours is so much more powerful
so he is too busy being ACTUAL aquaman
I made this myself and I hope you’re PROUD
Mansplaining protip:
When a man starts explaining a concept you already told him you understand, instead of saying “I know” over and over until you die, try one of these:
Ok, which aspect is confusing you?
It seems like you have the basics down; Would you like me to recommend some good articles so you can get a more nuanced understanding?
So did you have a specific question, or do you just want a more in depth explanation?

My cousin is an asst psych professor. Her new boss brought up how male students sometimes challenge female professors. He asked how she handles that: she says ‘hold on: let me take notes’, grabs a pen & paper, and proceeds to take no notes. If he asks why, she says ‘Tell me something I don’t know & I’ll have something to write’; no student has tried twice. Her boss laughed and asked her to mention it at the next staff meeting.
Additional tip:
If you need to bring up a topic you think he’ll argue against, ask him if he knows what it is, nod along as he tells you, and then build on the argument he’s just made for you by laying the base.
aka, I had a mansplaining coworker who used to trigger the shit out of my PTSD, so one day I asked him if he knew what “trigger” meant as a psychological term. He proceeded to explain my own panic attacks to me and ended up having a facial Oh Shit when I responded with “Yes, that’s exactly what happens to me when you do X, I’m glad you understand.”
It’s very hard to claim ignorance of the subject when you’ve just been so very proud of showing off your knowledge of that subject.
I’m just gonna leave this here for anyone who needs it C:
Hozier - The Humours of Whiskey (Traditional, a cappella)
#he makes everythibg sound like a fae is singing it in a forest in the moonlight - @snakekarina
if i heard this song carried faintly by the wind, leading me into the deepest darkest part of an ancient forest i literally would not hesitate
“Sweet dreams are made of this. Who am I to disagree?“
Holy shit this fucking super power. The avengers did Quicksilver WRONG.
Holy shit
The brilliant thing about this isn’t just the CGI, it’s the clever little touches of humor– mussing the boy’s hair, saving the goldfish, drinking the soda can, the moonwalk, lining up the dart with the dartboard. I notice new details every time I see this clip. You can watch this scene with zero context and still fully enjoy it. You don’t need to know who he is or who he’s saving or why. There’s a guy who runs real fast and he’s saving people from an explosion, and he’s having a blast with it, and that’s all you need to know. It’s entertaining and fully comprehensible even if you know nothing about the movie. That’s damn good filmmaking.
There’s that, and there’s also the fact that his mind is at least as fast as his body. He knows exactly how much time he has at his current rate of speed to make sure no one gets even a little hurt by the explosion that’s going to hit them with the same force as it normally would no matter how fast he personally is going and how slow other things look by comparison. He’ll take people one at a time if he can, two at a time if he has to, and those he doesn’t have time to get fully out of the building before the explosion hits someone else, he … figures something out (mattress, curtains, pond).
Everyone focuses on the speed of speedsters. No one ever thinks how smart they have to be to actually act at that speed without hurting someone.
I was thinking about this last night, where someone noted that what makes an experienced speedster dangerous isn’t just their speed, but the reaction and processing time required to use that speed effectively. Someone who moves that fast is dangerous, someone who can react instantaneously and is effectively impossible to surprise is terrifying.
Also the speedsters with the differential speed - look at the shifts as Quicksilver goes up a few gears to pull off a complicated move, then (relatively) slows down in a recovery mode, and then takes a moment to recharge, pause and think, speed up again to max out the evacuation. All the shifts in speed that indicate that there’s a five speed manual gear box equivalent of speedster thinking
I discovered a nice little coffee shop near my apartment, and instead of thinking “this is very convenient,” my first thought was my life’s coffee shop au is about to begin
Update: I was at the aforementioned coffee shop and this guy sat down next to me near the window. A pretty barista came over with his drink, and she said to him: “This isn’t right. You’re supposed to sit at the counter! You’re supposed to tell me stories!” And the guy laughed, and they both looked at the counter (where all the spots were taken) and he was like, “We could kick someone out.” And she was like, “I would do that! Which one?” And they joked around a bit more, and then she went back to the behind the counter, and as soon as someone vacated their spot he moved all his stuff over to the counter, and I realized, this is not my coffee shop au. I am in their coffee shop au.
