Dust of Dryness takes a cube of water 15 feet on a side and turns it into a solid, marble-sized pellet. When smashed or crushed, the water returns to normal size instantaneously. This is a standard magic item in D&D/Pathfinder. The fun bit happens when someone sets up candy shops across the realm where 1 in a 1000 pieces is a water ball…Lots of people are fatally taken by surprise.
Something for the players to investigate, at least.

Stealth checks are one of the worst checks to fail honestly. Fail a history check you just don’t have the info you need. Fail a stealth check you are almost always immediately put into a dangerous situation
I say we make all checks life or death.
Fail a nature check? You are pinned underneath a tree.
Fail a history check? You are immediately killed by a famous historical figure.
Fail an acrobatics check? You sprain all of your joints.
Fail a performance check? A crowd boos you and deal 1d4 psychic damage per person in the crowd.
Fail an Athletics check and take one level of exhaustion
Fail an Arcana check and take 1d4 of Force damage
Fail a Persuasion check and get punched in the face
Fail a Medicine check and accidentally make your bleeding party member go into shock

Help your GM come up with personalized plot hooks by writing what your character tastes like, in great detail, on your character sheet.
