Her eyes widened as she took in the sight before narrowing slightly once more. ❝You eat like a baby dinosaur; you don’t even chew.❞ Emmeline couldn't remember the last time she'd seen someone eat in such a manner - perhaps maybe in her early, formative years? Emmeline’s Boggart is that of a rather common phobia; claustrophobia to be precise. Slowly, her peripheral vision is overtaken by darkness until she can see nothing else. She’s only ever encountered a Boggart once while at school and the encounter caused a panic attack. The thought of the experience is enough to trigger another attack. As a result, she does everything in her power to not think about it. She’s had a strong disliking of the things ever since.

wand: Kaya, eleven and three-quarter inches, Mermaid hair, Unicorn heartstring, and Chimera scale fragment, unyielding.

kaya a lovely yellow wandwood of japanese origin, it is extremely rare in british wandmaking. however, those bonded to kaya wands will find their abilities in logical arts , such as potions, astronomy, ancient runes, and arithmancy, boosted.

mermaid hair wands that have mermaid scales or hair are, like chimera scales or basilisk skin, more often heirloom cores, often passed from generation to generation. they are very powerful, but very loyal to their wielder and hard to use if the wand is taken or won in a duel. these wands are temperamental, but tend to prefer those who are knowledgeable, but not greedy. these wands often do best with more outdoor magic. the scales do well with transfiguration, while the hair does nicely with astronomy and potions.

unicorn heartstringthose who are stubborn , duel-natured, cold (cool-natured) , vengeful,independent, ruthless, fiery , cunning,possessive, witty and mischievous will have this wand core. having such a wand suggests that you have a cold and thoughtless nature, though not necessarily heartless or cruel. you have the ability to love and be loved in your own way, but you tend to be possessive and overly protective of those things or people you love. whereas unicorn hair reflects the kinder, gentler, more innocent side of a unicorn, a unicorn heartstring core tends reflect the darker, more sinister, not so innocent side of a unicorn. this wand core works best in the dark arts and potions. this makes for a powerful wand core when it comes to jinxes and curses and is most commonly found in wands made of yew and/or alder. unicorn heartstring cores are common in dark diviner and dark healer wands. it is a wand core predominantly found among those of house slytherin and is non-existent in house hufflepuff. it is among the most powerful and desired dark cores in the world, giving an extra powerful boost to any wand or weak core.

chimera scale fragment wands with a chimera scale fragment core are rare not for concerns of safety (these wands are generally no more stubborn than those with the feathers of a hippogriff, and far more stable then those made with the core of an erumpet hide). the reason that they are so rare is that they are so difficult to kill, and so few are willing to attempt (to place this into perspective, there are more recorded slayings of basilisks in the past fifty years than chimera slayings in all of recorded history). the most recent slaying of a chimera was in greece over two thousand years ago, so the scales that were harvested are now degraded, broken, or dispersed across the globe. wands with this core are typically found as heirloom cores, and those are not a full chimera scale. generally, a more common core (frequently the heartstring of a dragon) is used, with a fragment of the scale placed into the common core. these wands are more common around the mediterranean (mostly in greece and the balkans), though they are found throughout europe. the raw power of these wands are what makes them so desired, they are hard to master (meaning more powerful spells) and are good for all kinds of magic, though they are best suited to offensive magic. the downside is that they are very difficult to control.

A few shots here and there, but once they hit three, that was where she drew the line. ❝I'd rather not wake up tomorrow feeling sick, thanks.❞

It was a rare occasion for Emmeline to get what many deemed the proper amount of sleep in a night. When she did finally manage to get to sleep, she didn't take kindly to being woken up by someone else. Especially not when it was a result of someone pounding at her door. Rubbing her eyes, tiredly, Emmeline undid the locks and pulled the door open. ❝What?❞ she started, pausing once she saw the all too familiar face. She stepped aside, not waiting for an answer. ❝It’s four in the fucking morning.❞

There were only so many times that you could have a conversation with someone. There were even fewer times you could tolerate that same conversation with someone you didn’t much care for anymore. After about fifteen minutes, Emmeline’s patience was wearing thin. She didn’t have it in her to deal with this, not today. ❝For Merlin’s sake, stop. Can you just-- can you just stop for five fucking minutes?❞ With a sigh, Emmeline lowered her mug of coffee from her lips, finally deigning to turn around. Before he could protest, she raised both hands. ❝Sorry that your feelings are not at the top of my list of things to give a shit about.❞
