alana’s face turned into full confusion mode. she chhuckled and shook her head. “jas, jas. I don’t need to know what happens between you and ross. I’m good with knowing what I should know.” she shook her head and then raised an eyebrow at how defensive jasmine got. “no, no, no. I mean - that’s your opinion. we-we all have d-different opinions, jas. I think zach would be an awesome father. he has always been good with kids. but hey, that’s great that you guys are talking about marriage I guess.” she held onto the baby and then sighed. “oh stop it.” she chuckled when jasmine mentioned her dimples.
She blushed. “Sorry. That was TMI, wasn’t it? I guess I never really had a close girl friend to talk about these kinds of things too,” she admitted shyly. “And Felix is always like ‘be open, tell me everything’, so I guess I’m not used to talking with a filter.” She smiled sheepishly at Alana. Jas rubbed Charlie’s head, cooing a little at her baby as he slowed down with eating, before he pulled his head back and sleepily nuzzled against her instead, squeaking out a tiny yawn. “Ah! Did you hear that? That was so cute!” She gushed, looking at Alana with wide eyes. She pouted at Lottie, still happily playing with Alana’s hair. “Why won’t she do anything cute?” She whined. Jas bit her lip and smiled awkwardly. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. It’s no excuse, but you know I get weird and defensive. Especially with Ross.” Jas nudged her a little. “You shouldn’t be shy about yourself. Be confident and rock what you know is the truth. You know you have cute dimples, so sport a smile and rock them all the time.” Jas smiled self consciously at her post-pregnancy tummy. “Before this whole pregnancy thing, I wouldn’t be afraid to show off my curves and stuff. I mean, I didn’t do it all the time, but I wasn’t afraid to. You shouldn’t be afraid either.”
