Take me somewhere else, where I can be happy... (M!A: None. Event: None. Header and icon are property of lowiro and reserve all rights. Mod is not a minor)
We're back at the park with Hikari again, this time in broad daylight. Unlike last time, the artist seemed rather cheerful, giggling to herself as she looked to be sketching something while sitting down at a picnic area, all by herself. Many months had passed since that late night excursion, and the turmoil that consumed her back then was gone in its entirety. Hikari, for the first time in a long time, felt content with her life.
With that being said, she seemed to be giggling quite a lot right now. Perhaps a little too much, considering the circumstances. What exactly was she giggling at? Surely, at this time of day, someone would be curious about it, if not concerned... right?
Normally, someone like Hikari wouldn't dare step foot outside this late at night. Disregarding the fact that she'd normally be asleep at this time, the artist hated the dark. Not because it was scary, mind you. No, she just didn't like the poor visibility. It wasn't fun having to watch her every move, constantly second-guessing the distance between her and any objects in her path, all because the lack of light messed with her depth perception. Thank god her phone had a flashlight function, because without it, she'd take forever to get where she wanted to go.
Speaking of which, out of all the places to go when it's late at night, Hikari chose the park. She was no stranger to this place. The artist frequently used this location as a second study of sorts, since it was pretty big and people were unlikely to bother her, what with all the other recreational options the area had to offer. Whenever she felt inspired to draw something themed around nature, she came here. It was the closest thing to going out into the wild without... well, actually going out into the wild.
That was her plan, actually, when Hikari decided to come here. This late at night, there was almost no chance there would be anyone here, at least not by choice. She found an empty picnic area, sat down at a table, then placed her sketchbook down in front of her. The artist opened up to a page with an unfinished sketch, then took out a pencil, ready to make progress.
Not even five minutes passed before Hikari stopped. No progress was made. Nothing was clicking in her mind. Not now, anyway. Her thoughts raced, but it wasn't because of the sketch. No, it was something else- no, someone else entirely.
The artist would've never made this trip under normal circumstances. These were not normal circumstances. She wanted a distraction more than anything when she chose to come here. Alas, it just wasn't to be, not this time. So, Hikari packed it all up, and decided to head back home, just as spontaneously as when she decided to come out here in the first place.
She hoped that sleep would clear her mind. She didn't expect it to, though.
A black screen awaited any viewer who dared to tune in. Judgement here was long gone, it being passed onto the unrighteous. A sizzling, static noise struck the shadow-filled display, absent of any empathetic touch.
...!
"OW!"
A shriek of pain interrupted the solitude.
To follow the yelp, a long, quiet rustle was audible on the other end. Though whatever waited on the other end wasn't visible, the panicked, hurried sounds spoke for them all the same. Rustling and rummaging hissed through the blackened screen. The mental picture could easily be put into your mind.
...After a minute or two of agonizing and awkward waiting, the camera finally took focus, colors flooding the screen. What stood in plain view was a short gentleman with tanned, bronzed skin and short, black curly hair. They smiled sheepishly, smoothing back their hair and brushing off their suit.
"...It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." They nodded politely, putting a gloved hand on their heart. "We don't know each other yet, but... I hope we will come to. I'm Mila Law Young, a detective at the Royal Court Agency."
"For a back of a better word, I have gotten wind that thing's have been... risque, around these parts, wouldn't you say? An assortment of crime running in these dark, shaded backstreets, hiding under our noses... And I simply cannot live with the idea that innocent civilians are getting mixed in the middle of it."
"So... that's why I'm here!" Mila beamed, grinning from ear to ear. "To protect and serve! To get to the bottom of these terrible sins that are haunting our youth! Whatever you need, please don't hesitate to contact me. Please remember that I'm a resource, an ear to listen, and, hopefully, a friend."
The sleuth bowed, looking up with a wink. "...I'm at your service."

This was... not how Hikari expected her day to go. The artist, completely taken by surprise by this... encounter (she wasn't sure how else this could be described as), just kind of gave Mila a blank stare for a moment, then placed a hand on her hip.
What kind of stuff do you do in here? Why are you crying?
Silence hung in the air for a few seconds, long enough for it to turn awkward. Eventually, though, Hikari sharply exhaled, wiping at the tears building up in her eyes. "I draw, mostly. There's not really r-room for me to do anything else. I usually just... sit in bed and draw."
The white-haired girl let her eyes close, trying to squeeze the last few tears out of her eyes. After wiping them away for a few more moments, she let out a sigh, scooting over to the edge of her bed and letting her legs dangle off the side. "I... I don't really know why I'm crying. It just... happens sometimes. I guess I'm just... a sad person."
it's nice to meet you Hikari . This is a nice room is it yours ?
Hikari pulled some of her hair over her face, trying to hide her tears. "...yeah. It's my room." She let out another sniffle, a hand moving to wipe her nose.
"There's... not really a lot to it, honestly. Most of the stuff here is kinda old..." She wiped at her tears again, parting some of the hair in front of her face. "I'm t-too lazy to do anything with it, though. B-besides... I like it like this."
sorry about the scare . Uhh you can just call me Bee. what's your name ?
The girl with white hair let out a sigh, keeping her arms around her chest still. Her gaze fell upon the bed, as a hand moves to wipe away some tears. Another sniffle could be heard.
"It... it's fine, I guess..." Her legs straightened out, as Hikari scooted slightly, pressing her back to the headboard of her bed. "...Bee? T-that's... a nice name. I'm Hikari..."
The girl yelped at the sound of your voice, quickly looking up and glancing around. Hikari brought her arms to her chest defensively, and if all that plus her worried expression didn't give away that you spooked her, then I dunno what will.
You find yourself in a bedroom. Door closed, curtains open, sun shining through the open window onto the bed. Above you, a chandelier, lights dimmed. There's an end table next to the bed. A pair of untitled books lie on top. A mirror is tucked away in the corner.
Sitting on the bed, arms wrapped around folded legs, head rested against her knees, is Hikari. The white-haired girl doesn't react to you, mainly because she doesn't know you're there. A sniffle is heard. She seems to be crying.
Long ago, a goddess had wished for refuge. That wish was granted, but not for her.
She did not know she was a god, or that her wish was granted. After all, she was not given access to the world her wish had created. The refuge that she wanted had rejected her.
Her name used to be lost to time. No longer.
Hikari. The creator of a world that draws in, and shelters, the dead. A world of memories, light, conflict, and glass.

(Brief intro under the cut)
(Wow, I never thought I'd ever see this website again. Anyways, hello! Welcome to this blog for Creator!Hikari from Arcaea! Just a fair warning, this blog will cover heavy topics, mainly depression and suicide. Besides that, I hope you enjoy your stay! I'm not tagging anyone for this promo out of anxiety and needing to get used to Tumblr again.)
