Shark eggs are so weird! Check out this adorable baby shark resting on a cushion of yolk inside it’s protective transparent egg. These eggs belong to Sarawak pygmy swellshark (Cephaloscyllium sarawakensis). ​ ​Mother swellsharks incubate these eggs inside them one at a time, until they’re almost fully developed, which is unusual for sharks - although some species have live births. ​ ​📷 :  Nakaya et al, Scientific Report, 2020
