SHS curriculum 2: Electric Boogaloo (Opinion on the whole new curriculum schtick)
Good evenin ladies and gents, this maybe a weird first (second) post but just wanted to give my two cents regarding it. Now to address the elephant in the room and a bit of a rundown. The current SHS curriculum will be reworked as to better accomodate students as the previous implementation was... kinda eh, like it was alright but honestly it could've been much better if it was done properly. Now for the actual new curriculum, first of all, tracks have been reduced and kind of reworked, now students can choose their electives based on their interests rather than a fixed plan. Along with that they reduced the core subjects required from 15 to 5, making things a lot more bearable for students. The tracks also mentioned earlier belong to two clusters, one for Academic and the other for TechPro (Technological Professional), Basically making the students choose a general range of subjects then narrow down the ones they want and the ones they dont Now for the meat and butter of things, My thoughts on it. In a short answer I completely support this change, with the whole "being able to choose" along with the more generalized subjects and lesser workload, students can focus more on the subjects they prefer and are interested in rather than fighting for their life to get a passing grade in something that doesn't interest them in the slightest. This freedom given by the curriculum gives the students lots of breathing room as they are already pressured by college. So in summary, yeah I agree with this and hope it gets implemented (without some side bull*%#$ like students have to be in like two extracurriculars or something). Anyways thanks for coming to my tedtalk, like subscribe and hit my bell Icon. I'll probably be posting here soon (some doodles or just rants of ideas)
