With a strong pat on Vaughn's back, a certain fisherman greeted and exclaimed, "Heyo, Vaughn! Havin' a good flower festival?" He gave his signature grin and showed the silver-haired man a collection of pink roses, sycamore, and violets. "If you aren't then I hope these make your day, yeah?"
Vaughn jumped only slightly when a sudden for appeared on his back out of no where. He turned his head to see a familiar brown haired fisherman. The animal dealer had been out of town on business, so it was a while since theyâd seen each other. âHey, Denny. Itâs been fine.â
He was more than a little surprised when the other pulled out a bunch of flowers and handed them to him. Friendship, curiosity, and Loyalty. Vaughn managed a small smile, but pulled down his hat to attempt to hide it. âThanks.â
He then pulled a single geranium out of his vest pocket and handed it to Denny. âYou out did me, but here.â
Yup. Telling Denny that was just as embarrassing as Vaughn thought it would be. His face flushed red slightly, but heâd have to get used to things like this. The longer he and Chel were together, the more people would ask him about it.
âYeah⊠Since a little over two weeks ago.â He responded after a moments thought. It had already been two weeks, and yet it had only been two weeks. It was a weird mix between time going too fast and too slow all at once.
Vaughnâs glance became scrutinizing after Denny teased about how much room he had in his heart, but then let out a sigh. âYeah, something like that.â
Denny knew that Vaughn would be pretty uncomfortable discussing this with him. Oh, but well, he couldnât help but tease just a little bit at the start. Still, that wouldnât change the fact that he was actually quite pleased and, to a point, very honored that Vaughn himself would tell him what was up before Chelsea did.
âThanks for tellinâ me, Vaughn,â he began, tucking the flower that he had inside one of his pockets by its stem. âI know that it can feel a little awkward telling me, so, hey! It means a lot that you told me. It means that you really trust me, right? Haha!âÂ
He scratched the back of his head after the small bit of laughter and pat his back once again. âBut really, thanks. And congratulations!âÂ
