I’m not talking about fanfictions or AU’s based off of a video game/comic/TV series, I’m talking about a story with a world and characters that are YOURS and YOURS alone.

The amount of magic that was in the air surely frightened the fox. It was something he never felt before. He smelled a dark desire, filled with the magic. Truly not a magic that any human could have. All he saw was a light in the darkness, shining through the dark. But why did it feel so... Scary? "Who is there?"
The ruins were dark, but Xerath’s light was more than enough to illuminate the path before him. He mused on this fact as he went, the idea of his own ‘radiance’ serving as fuel for the fire that was the Ascendant’s ego. Eventually, Xerath stopped to read some ancient writings upon the wall, when he heard footsteps. The Magus turned, his voice echoing. “I should ask the same of you, mortal.”
a-sacred-forest:
“I am just someone on patrol of the outer world.” The man didn’t need to know more. His light and voice were supsbicious. Almost… Like a fake light that could blind anyone into evil. His chains were proof of that. Or so it seemed to the fox. He grabbed his sword just in case this guy might do something terrible. But he could already tell that he wouldn’t be a match for this tyrant just by looking at him. He started sweating as well as to shiver a little bit. Magic was supposed to bring life, help life and to protect life. But his felt different. “Now tell me who you are strange glowing thing… And more importantly what you want in a place like this.”
The being before him was… Odd. Odd and rather arrogant. He resembled a mix between a beast and a man, but CLEARLY wasn’t an Ascendant. Could this be one of those Usa’fara from the southern jungles? Xerath had never believed such stories, but he recalled the stories now as he looked upon this being.
“I am Xerath, the Magus Ascendant, and God-Emperor of this land.” He floated forward, not even remotely intimidated by the sword. “I do not answer to anyone, least of all a quivering fool like you. Now, drop your sword, and state your name and intent, creature.”
Those are the words of a fool who has become a monster. But something about him felt similar. It was as he encountered a being just like him. Then he remembered. This feeling that he had as a child. Standing in front of a monster who could kill you in an instant. “Name’s Juyr. Samurai of the spirits of the forest.”
“Xerath.” He said in a louder yet more careful tone in his voice. “I have no need to tell you a thing why I am here. All I am doing is patrolling the world, gathering information. That’s all you need to know.” One could tell that he was talking around something. “And I’m not here to fight you either. I won’t fight unless I have a reason to do so. And there is no reason in this case. Exspecially when I know I can’t win. Your power exceeds mine by far. I know that because I have felt a similar energy than yours.” Within a second he let go off his sword closing his eyes. “I don’t know what an Ascendant is- but one thing is for sure. The way you appear here and now, magus- You clearly used that power for evil.”

The fox looked up to these two birds. He never saw something so pure- so full of mystery. It was as if they were symboling Yin and Yang. The embodiments of the earth's balance. But is it true? Or are their looks deceiving? "Excuse me mythical beings that I have never seen before - But if you really are not from a usual origin may I ask who you two are and what your purpose is?" ((Hello and nice blog you have there. Sorry if the ask is boring.))
Both felt the new presence and immediately turned towards the visitor.
The one with the dark feathers raised it head taking a posture of greatness and with a deep and powerful voice “he” replied - You should be the one declaring your propose -, the other, the one with the light tones looked dawn at the fox leaning towards him - excuse my brother, stranger. We come from a distant place and decided to stop to get some rest- “she” said in a calmed tone.
- I’m Cirathiel and he is my brother, my other half Cereniphes- she added with a slight bow.
The rules for mortals usually wouldn’t apply to those of a celestial being. Still the energy from the dark one still seemed to be worrying him. Is it really worth it to answer this question? Or shall he let it be? Minutes pass as he thinks through this but eventually he decided to open his mouth and talk. “We’re beings born to protect a powerful energy source called the tree of wishes from mortal beings such as humans.” To say such words to somebody, or some other being would define his death as the rule says not to tell anyone about it. But somehow this secret needed to dissappear. It needed to be gone. The tree needed to be gone. So that the living beings can live together. So that others can see the outside as well. “I think that I can entrust you two this information. But know that if people would find out… It could bring a disaster. The tree grows fruits in the form of tears that grant the power to make wishes come true- No matter what wish it is. And to think what would happen if a human got his hands on it… It could bring destruction. Or maybe even a new world”
