Question for fellow trans selfshippers (or anyone really)

What do you do when you are crushing on a fictional character but they’re canonically gay and you’re trans and you suspect they wouldn’t be into you since one, you are trans, and two, you are GNC so even if the former isn’t a problem. The latter is. I have two crushes on canon gay men but idk if they’d like me :(

I do HC one of them as trans themselves so maybe with that one, it's less of an issue (although he's definitely more masculine than my GNC ass so he could judge me for that) but with the other I see as cis and (I'M NOT SAYING ALL, PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT SAYING ALL CIS GAY MEN, to any cis gay men reading this, this is not directed at you! I'm sure you're fine!) there are quite a few (about 35% according to YouGov) who are pretty damn transphobic and are willing to throw trans people under the bus and hate them for existing or they're pretty damn misogynistic too (and my GNC ass being GNC could be an issue). And sure, maybe I'm just overthinking. But I always worry my gay f/os won't be interested in me :(
