The stave creaked as the bowstring was slowly pulled back. A young, blonde woman stood on the other end of the arrow, the Lightbringer peering at her down the shaft. “Remember. You have a fraction of a second, but it’s not impossible. You just have to anticipate it.” She nodded, glancing at the shield hanging around her neck. Inhale. Eternity passed, the man wanting to wait a moment. Exhale. She could do it. Loose.

“Go on then. Sit down,” he told her. She gave him a look before complying. He sighs, draping a blanket around her shoulders. “I’ll be in the office downstairs,” he stated, glancing about the upstairs of the shipping company’s headquarters. “Should be cozy enough. Oh, and Initiate?” She gives him a questioning “Hm?” He smirks. “Don’t get any ideas about us being here alone, alright? It’d be... unprofessional.” And with that, he gave a wink and left her alone.

“Nonsense!” The man yelled, pulling the woman towards the door. “You’re staying here until it passes,” Kieran told Adileh, gripping her by her arms as he led her back into the building. “Don’t make me order you, because I will if it comes to that.” They step through the doorway, the Lightbringer shutting the door behind them. “You can use the bed upstairs.” He looks her up and down, seeing that the rain managed to drench her. “Get in front of that fireplace too.”

The man had just asked a question when a black wolf stalked into the room. It walked over to Kieran and then stared at the guest, large golden eyes inspecting the Minister. “Minister, meet Ripley.” Kieran scratched behind her ears. “She won’t bite.” He gave the man a look, pausing. “Unless told.”

“Don’t mind me, I just like making new friends!” From Lucien Nether

“Yes. So I’ve heard, Minister.” Kieran finishes pouring the drink in the glasses, walking them over to his desk. Placing the Minister’s drink on the desk in front of him, he offers up a question. “Quite a surprise visit to just make new friends. Is there, perhaps, something else on your mind?” Kieran stands above the man, taking a sip from his water.

((Ask meme because I just found your tumblr HUE)) Dezigrar's brow furrowed as she regarded the man - particularly the way he either looked or acted in the moment. "Sir... when was the last time you slept?"

With a dead glare his rugged eyes seemed to look through the woman, rather than at her. “Never you mind,” he replied blankly. “We’ve work to do, and a mess to clean up.” It had in fact been a couple days. The man was used to it, but that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t take its toll on him. He glares, blankly, lost to his thoughts as he prepares himself for his work. “I’ll be fine.”

The lightbringer reads over the report, silently placing it down onto his desk when finished. He leans back in his chair and sits silently for several minutes as he watches the fire crackle.

PSA -

VILLAINS ARE VILLAINS.

Villains are not a precious little punching bag that’s going to stand there and take your shit and be sassy with their hand on their hip. If you mess with the bull you get the horns – if you push a villain, you will get the wrath of a villain. If your character is rude/disrespectful to a villain, especially one in a high place of power, and the villain lashes out (whether it be verbally or physically) – 

THEN YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE UPSET ABOUT IT. WHAT DID YOU EXPECT TO HAPPEN?

Don’t write with villain/cruel/evil characters if you can’t deal with a villain/cruel/evil character being less than nice to your precious cinnamon roll of a character. Surprise! That’s not how this works! If the villain suddenly kills your character without having spoken to you first, then you have absolutely every right to be mad. But if your character receives a verbal lashing or non-lethal physical response that is in character for the villain to give, then you need to deal with it. 

I’m also sick of this sense of prerogative way of thinking certain characters hold when it comes to villains. This mindset of, ‘oh this person is evil, bUT OBVIOUSLY THEY’LL LOVE ME AND I’LL BE THEIR SPECIAL SOMEONE THEY WON’T HATE ME OR TRY AND KILL ME.“ NO. STOP THAT. You cannot go into interactions with villains expecting them to absolutely fall in love with your character/be best friends with them. This is why it’s most times excruciatingly difficult to ship/bro-ship with villains. And even if this does happen, you should expect a villain to still be aggressive and/or rude from time to time. 

A VILLAIN DOES NOT STOP BEING A VILLAIN JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP.

I’ve written villains for a long time now, and one thing has been made perfectly clear – you will get shit for writing your character too IC and you will get shit for writing your character too OOC. You will be fucking cursed out for your character being aggressive to those who are rude to them, and you will be blasted for writing them being nice even just from time to time. So fellow villain writers – just let your villain flag fly. Don’t fucking listen to people who try and give you shit either way for your portrayal. To those who do not write villains – respect them. Just because your character is sassy and spunky, doesn’t automatically give them the right to try and be disrespectful to someone who is most likely superior to them.

TL;DR IF YOU CAN’T STAND THE HEAT, GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN. IF YOU CAN’T DEAL WITH SOMEONE BEING CRUEL TO YOUR MUSE, DON’T WRITE WITH VILLAINS.

I am trying to keep my composure after seeing this in my inbox and knowing that one of my close friends received something similar about two weeks ago. I will say I am struggling to keep such composure. I am fucking livid right now. This is not okay. Bullying and saying things like this is NOT fucking OKAY. Whoever sent this, I hope you realized you are a bottom feeder in a world of people trying to lift other people up even when they struggle to get included in things they want to be. You’re not cool. You’re not funny. You’re not in any way validated for sending things like this. You are pathetic and I pity you for thinking this is how to make yourself seem better. You’re not. I could call you names and I could let you break me down until I actually do disappear completely, but you won’t win. Even if this might be true? I would rather be in my own shoes than be in any way considered similar to you. Move along, fuck off, have a great day.

Patching up a wound.

The Lightbringer sighs, breaking the silence that had befallen them the past few minutes. The woman had managed to hurt herself, a laceration on the palm of her hand, while they were sparring. “Will I survive?” Adileh asks him. Having already cleaned the wound, he begins his stitches. “Just barely.” He gives her a small grin, holding her hand steady in his while he patched her up. It was a quick job by him, being used to that kind of laceration. He grabs the bandages next to them, tenderly wrapping them around her hand. “You’ll want to change these every day. If you aren’t comfortable doing it, just come see me. I don’t mind.” Finished, he gives her a small grin. “Now, ready for round two?”

33. Have they ever been in a relationship that didn’t work out so well?

“Plenty to pick from. There was one, Dawn. Met her when I was undercover with separatists. We were alike, with very different paths in life. I rarely think of what could have been with her, but I would’ve had to leave the Order. So, one day, I just disappeared from her life. Sometimes I go by her home to see how she’s doing, watching from afar. She never sees me. But, ultimately, I made the right choice.”

15. Who do they hate the most?

“Bartholomew,” the Lightbringer said, flat. The life had gone from his eyes, only anger present in his voice. “He broke my world. Took what I valued most. The White Mantle finds no mercy with me because of him. If he’s lucky, he’s already dead. If not, I will find him one day. And it will take him months to die.”
