Ash normally didn’t spring his whole sob story onto people this quickly, but he also wasn’t going to evade the questions. He appreciated her response, being somewhere in the middle of supportive without being over bearing. “I’m lucky to have had the people in my life that I did, and lucky to have Lotte - she’s my niece.” He smiled softly, with a hint of sorrow behind his eyes.
“Now, you must answer all the same questions. Only fair.” He turned the attention to her. Besides, that was the game right. “I’m dying to know your favorite color.” He joked hoping to lighten the mood a bit.

Adrienne nodded her head as she looked him over. “I could imagine that they were a lot of help while you were grieving. Kind of forced you to be better for them and ensure that you were supporting your niece.” At least, she expected as much given how hard it would be for the child to have lost her mother and main support system.
“Deal. Adrienne Soto. I’m a lawyer, I came from California. I’m an only child to two very overbearing parents. My favorite colour is purple.” She hummed slightly as she tried to rack her brain for something else. “I have a cat called little shit that I’ve begrudgingly adopted. I fed him once and he refuses to leave and I’ve kind of accepted that. Otherwise, no children. Just me. I’m also new to town.”
