MY SHOW - NOS Alive 2018 (july 12th) â¤
okay SO i know itâs been a few weeks since then, but iâm finally writting down all the details from what was the best day and the best concert of my life!!!
me and mariana (@505fireside) woke up extra early and met up because we both obviously wanted the best spot to see our monkeys! (they were only playing at midnight btw) we got there around 10am and there were already 30 PEOPLE WAITING. we were like wtf but 10 mins later we noticed some of them started running, so we started sprinting and i swear i never ran so fast in my life. it was like 200/300m or something but we reached the spot where we had to wait til 3pm in 1st place (meanwhile we heard them rehearsing 4/5, brianstorm and donât sit down, alex didnât sing tho!) đ
it was almost 3pm and a bunch of jornalists and photographers showed up (they took us sooo many photos ohmygod)
so the time had arrived and I WAS THE FIRST TO GET IN THE FESTIVAL lmao, the owner of nos alive posted a pic of me literally flying saying i was the first one!!!!! so i ran to the left side of the stage (right in front of nick because that was the plan!!) and saved the spot for mariana!
it was show time and my heart was racing; seeing them walk in was honestly unreal, especially when you spend so many years just seeing them in photos and videos, and there they are, right in front of me đ
when alex began singing, my instant thought was âhoLY SHIT he sounds like fwn alexâ idk why?? i thought it was gonna sound more theatrical, more dramatic⌠i was really surprised!!!!
at the end of âfour out of fiveâ, i genuinely thought i was gonna pass out âcause i ran out of breath due to literally shouting all the words and 'brianstormâ was up next (i didnât tho, my energy levels only went up after this!!)
NICK IS THE CUTEST BEAN EVER he was right in front of us, he looked at my sign several times and we pointed and sang to him sooo many times, but he would always smile a little and get shy and eventually walk away, near matt or tyler asjshldk heâs so so cute and angelic looking
since i was right in front of nick, i looked at jamie only a few times, but he was always bouncing (as usual) full of energy, heâs sooo handsome and his hair is so long and golden, i was shook
me and mariana did all the moves (macarena, kung-fu fighting, phone, NO, straw on something tropical, party plugged into our skull, swimming with the economists, etc) and sang ânickâs partâ to him in 'knee socksâ and it was amazing, heâs got such a good voice but is always very shy and quiet đ
alex also noticed our signs and made a really surprised look lmao, best compliment ever
he introduced 'crying lightningâ with âhereâs one of humbug, folksâ and i swear my soul ascended in that moment; just the fact that i got to hear him say âhumbugâ right in front of me is a dream bye
'PRETTY VISITORSâ IS INSANE LIVE!!!! alex started walking from one side to another with his fists in the hair and started hitting the piano continuously, i fucking loved every moment of it, probably my favourite performance (oh shit when all the lights turn red omfg itâs so intense) đ
'tbhcâ live is sooo gooddd, i only wish nickâs bass was louder (and during the whole oncert too tbh) because thatâs the best part of the music, but itâs so beautiful and loveeed the green/purple background!!!
the 'one point perspectiveâ solo is a m a z i n g, thank you very much

STAR TREATMENT IS SO SO SO BEAUTIFUL i was mesmerized and singing every word right in front of them was đđđđ
and yea, me and mariana were crazyyy during the whole thing
so if you know me or have been following me for a while, youâve probably noticed i really like matt, not only is he gorgeous, heâs a fucking amazing drummer (and photographer!) and a true agile beast and i always find myself⌠admiring him:
âŚyea, i know, i write a lot of shit on this blog. anyway, i always wanted to catch one of his drumsticks, so i made a sign asking for them (i wasnât very confident because it wasnât that big, but âknowingâ matt⌠he wouldnât ignore it)
so there i was, holding the sign, trying to get his attention, which was quite hard because the first part of the setlist had brianstorm/the view/teddy picker⌠you know, matt had to do his shit; he was also way far back and the piano almost covered him up :(
he eventually started looking at the crowd and noticed my sign (he knew that it was for him since the âagile beastâ part was very dark and visible) and tried to read it (here in one point perspective you can see that, i wasnât looking at him in this song, which makes it even more cute). when he looked at it again, he mimicked a monocular with his hand and i was like oH fUck and convictedly (is thus even a word) pointed at the drumsticks part!!!! and he nodded and đ, i was so fucking happy, i could finally put my sign back down and wait for it!!!
let me just say that 5/6 songs in i couldnât take my eyes off of him, HEâS SO INCREDIBLE!!! his drumming is fucking fantastic and the faces he makes are the best thing ever lmao; he also started looking at me from time to time and i donât know how i handled that so âââcalmlyâââ (i was screaming inside)
when they finished playing 'i betâ and started leaving the stage for the encore, i didnât think matt would do it at that point, but there he was, walking up to my front with half his drumstick in his hand, looking at me and throwing it carefully and ⤠i got it and was so so so happy, i couldnât thank him because, when he throwed it, it fell on the floor 'cause too many people were trying to catch it (but i had already made a promise with the security that, if he ever threw one, that was for me lmao); and i know youâre probably thinking why half of a drumstick? well, he breaks so many during the songs, itâs fucking unreal, and this was before the encore, so he had to save some or else he wouldnât drum lmao. but i like it this way, he gave me half of one he used when he was in âfull agile beast modeâ, which couldnât be more symbolic, and probably didnât want to forget about it, i love him â¤
they came back and played star treatment (beautiful â¨đ) and then arabella, in which i air-drummed like crazy because well⌠i had half a drumstick in my hand, it came naturally, WHICH HE NOTICED!!!! so he flipped his drumstick and pointed at me (this lasted like 5 seconds, it was so fucking cool) and i pointed at him, and we had a cool moment right there (even though he was far back, something that makes it more surreal)!!!
and of course, it was 'r u mine?â time, everyone went crazy and, at the end, alex blew a tonne of kisses and matt came up to the front once again to throw his drumsticks to other people (and since i was filming that part i got a nice screenshot out of it!)
this is such a huge story, iâm sorry ahhhhh
anyway, it was an amazing day, an incredible experience and a beautiful night where many of my dreams came true. i love this band with all my heart and iâm forever thankful for their existence and their music. been a fan for so many years now and finally seeing them is such a great feeling, couldnât be happier, honestly. thank you alex, jamie, nick and my boy matt for everything you do, canât wait to see you again (hopefully) soon, and thanks mariana for sharing this dream with me!!! ⤠(hereâs the videos i took if youâre interested lmao x)
