I am saddened by your decision to reject us, just as I always have been. I am confused by your vehemence. I wonder what, exactly, the Swarm has done so wrong as to make so many so fearful.
But important as those questions may be, they are far from the top priority. As of now, we have moved beyond fighting for an ideal world to fighting simply for the ability to live in peace. I’ve heard rumors that you can hear the buzzing when a member of the swarm is ‘calling’ to you. Is that true? If it is, then why can I hear the buzzing?
I guess that’s always the question, isn’t it? Why.
Like a child, you ask why, but does it matter? The sky is simply blue. The world simply turns. The buzzing simply is.
But there is still reasoning behind it. The sky is blue because of the oxygen that we breathe, that nearly killed all life on this planet. The world turns because of a terrible childhood, a battle fought and ended in fire. And the swarm buzzes because it loves you, loves all.
It doesn’t matter why. All one must do is accept it. Everything ends up better that way.
I disagree. I think knowing the reasons why is very important. Knowing what you’re dealing with allows you to protect both yourself, and those around you.
You said it yourself, there is a reason behind the buzzing. I’ll figure it out eventually.
I know what I’m dealing with! The swarm is love, kindness, family, unity. The outside is burning and lonely, full of hatred and fire. I know enough, more than enough, to protect the ones who I care about and who care about me.
