Ekleipsis Drop by Dean Sidaway for a w i n d o w edition one spotted at the Helmut Lang exhibit in NYC.
Helmut Lang exhibition at Sperone Westwater Gallery in NYC. Arresting show where the artist created sculptures by burning his archive of collections and samples and made it into columns with resin and paint. A symbol of his past artistic life giving way to his new life as a fine artist. A symbol of his new identity.
Representations of Identity.
Dean Sidaway’s “LAND” collection from the a w i n d o w “Ephemeral Exhibitions” series back in December 2014.
LAND explores the topography of the mundane through an installation-based fashion collection created from everyday detritus. Using materials including plastics, painters and artists tape combined with delicate silk chiffons to create a thoughtful and unusual conceptual collection recently exhibited through the ‘Ephemeral Exhibition’ series with awindow (www.deansidaway.com).
