i start to feel normal everytime i am away from people for a while and then as soon as i go back i remember

yellowjackets main problem is that the seasons are just too short to explore any of the shows interesting ideas fully. every episode in season 3 feels like its leading up to something interesting happening, and then that is immediately discarded into the next episode, because they have to get to the next plot point. it simultaneously has too fast and too slow pacing - and the payoff never comes, and when something does happen it ends up sort of being placed randomly and having no impact.

season 1 was so good because it was all leading up to a final thing - Jackies death which causes a massive change in how the wilderness timeline goes. The adult timeline alluding to this throughout its mystery plot , with what actually happened to the girls still being a secret you are trying to figure out- along with its interesting character writing and fun dynamics really help the show work.

I think unfortunately after you discover a lot of the interesting mysteries in the adult timeline, almost all of the characters you care about in the teen timeline are revealed to still be alive, and one of your most interesting characters (that really linked the rest of the cast together) dies, the adult timeline becomes a lot less interesting. (And spending too much time with the characters no one cares about--- Walter--- doesn't help)
