I get smarter, I fail. I get stronger, I fail. I become more me, I fail. No matter what I try in life, I seem to always fail. Your why must be so fundamentally deep that it is mirrored with your desire to survive. You have to want it as bad as you want to breathe. You have to want it as bad as you want to be loved. Your desire, your drive, your why; it must reside so deep within in your soul that it gives power to every other part of you. So I grind. I hustle. I fail. I lose friends who hold me back, I argue with family that disagrees. I fail. I reprogram my mind with affirmations and build new habits that are in harmony with my new goals. I fail. I start conversations with strangers and try new things. I fail. I start my first, second, and third business ideas, and I fail with each one. Then finally I find an idea that sticks and I build some momentum and finally, it fails. And then finally, an epiphany. Failure is Success. To be more accurate, failure is the first step along the path to success. It is trial, experimentation, and education. In that sense, each failure is indeed it’s own success. When we have to deal with a tough issue, it can be hard to decipher whether it is truly an objective problem, or if we have (at least some) subconscious ownership of it. Human nature leads us to believe that other people are at fault when we experience conflict, that we have been “wronged". I am a glass-half-full person. I operate under the belief that the more I take care of myself, my life, and my own happiness, the more I can give to others. But recently I hit a wall. Was it a twisted coincidence that all the areas of my life were simultaneously conspiring against me? Is life simply testing my patience, strength, and resilience? Or is there something personal going on? The wall I faced was actually a mirror. It forced me to confront things that I had been ignoring. I had stopped doing the things that I love, the things that kept me strong. We all have different levels of “holistic care and maintenance". Mine happens to be high. I love being independent, spending quality time alone, enjoying and exploring my creative strengths, living life fully and joyfully, and appreciating the small things that make me happy every single day. Realizing this reminded me how delicate and vulnerable each of us can become when we forget about ourselves and our needs. When daily life and all its trappings take over, we can sometimes lose ourselves and neglect to do the things that help keep us strong—and that can lead to conflict all around us. “When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you.” ~African Proverb #BeStrong #LiveCreateInspire

Throwing it back when I was working out 6 days a week. 2-3 hours per session. I was making serious gains. Macros were on point, and daily calorie intake was at 3-3.5 thousand a day. And now it's been almost half a year since I stepped inside a gym. I can barely run without losing stamina. I can barely do push ups or pull ups. Lost my 6 pack abs, and became 1 pack lol. I was looking back at my old pictures trying to rekindle the flame that I once had, where I became obsessed with fitness. I want it back and I'm slowly working on getting back into it. I've never stopped thinking about fitness, about not lifting weights. But things happen, life happens and just because you are hindered doesn't mean you can't get back up and try again. Life was never meant to be easy - it's a constant struggle, with extreme lows and extreme highs. Remember that the times when it's most important to persevere are the times that you will be most tested. Remember that guy that gave up? Neither does no one else. So I encourage you all, to keep moving forward no matter how hard life gets. #BeStrong #LiveCreateInspire
