This 90 Day Personal Challenge Sums up the root of my ironic weakness and desire to be physically strong, for years.

I was thinking very hard about engaging in this 90 day personal challenge: maximize how much fat I can lose and muscle I can gain in that amount of time by optimizing and refining every aspect of my lifestyle that would compound the result.

I am an on-and-off style exerciser. I am in tune with exactly what it takes to achieve the result, and there are no illusions or excuses as it's really never out of reach to achieve.

What it takes just happens to be in conflict with aspects of my lifestyle that make me equally as happy. I know the biggest reason I flail, or am reluctant to commit 110% is because I am scared.

I am scared that when the dust settles, people will be gone, social experiences will have occurred without me, or I will have invariably missed out on defining moments and memories in life that I can't get back; this is a sickening illusion that my insecurities have consistently put in from of my mind, consequently preventing myself from achieving any respectable level of physical improvement.

My fears have inhibited me, and I have succumb time and time again. I'm talking years.

But, if duality of life is a philosophy that I truly believe in, then it would seem that I have been severely imbalanced as I have found ways to enrich those polar desires without thinking, and have grotesquely neglected the ones that contrast them.

So much of what I do needs to change if I am to enrich this starving side, and the first thing I'll need to do is face my fears and walk through this cave. Just keep walking because every fiber in me believes that I'll make it out the other side, and everything will be normal, if not better, when I surface again.
