Latest update from my university in the States. Hoping it'll actually arrive to my friend's address this time, but given the track record so far I'm not counting on it.

Either way, it won't happen before rent for May is due, and I'm really hurting.

I'm constantly looking for jobs and am applying to everything, including remote and online work. My restaurant has cut payroll and I am not scheduled at all for April or May. I have two more interviews scheduled soon, but no guarantees.

I am more than willing to babysit, walk dogs, petsit, clean houses, help move, be your personal dishwasher, write anything you want, or anything else!

The money is coming, I just can't seem to actually get it delivered. If these two checks go missing I will be insisting that the university sends them registered mail so they can be tracked. They've been ignoring me about this so far, but these will be the fifth and sixth checks that they've attempted to mail, so I would think rules could be bent a little and allow me to pay for having them sent registered and tracked.

Any help is so greatly appreciated!! Insulin and food cost money and until I can either get the checks due to me or find a job/get hours at the one I have, I have no other option but to ask.

Got an update from my friend in the States - the check for $4423 arrived, and they sent it via registered mail. I'm tracking it and it's currently at Chicago's International Distribution Center.

It may arrive by the time rent is due, but I will need to submit it to my bank, which will take time to clear and the money to be released to me.

More checks are coming, but at the moment this is all I know.

Still going to need some help, especially with the broken toe!

The check for $4423 is now on its way to Denmark via the USPS. There's tracking, but I won't be updated until it makes it to Denmark and it was coming from Chicago with the last update on 26 April, so...yeah. Hopefully very soon so I can get it to my bank where it'll take time to clear.

Help for sending a bit to my landlord so they don't evict me would be really appreciated!

Blind autistic type 1 diabetic needing some help

Had a job interview today that I think went well, but who knows. I had a trial shift at a restaurant yesterday, but had to leave early because there's a heat wave and there was no air movement in the tiny kitchen - the thermometer in there read between 38C and 40C the whole time and I kept getting lightheaded. Pretty sure I'm not getting that job, but...I tried. Just couldn't physically handle it especially with the ovens and cooktop blasting heat.

One of my financial aid checks from my university is ready to pick up from the service point, so I'll send that to Danske Bank tomorrow morning.

It still won't clear by the time rent is due, and I'm really hurting. Haven't been able to pay rent for six months. Buying food is rough and I gave myself food poisoning a couple weeks ago eating expired stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sent the check to Danske Bank on Thursday, it was delivered to the cheques department on early Friday afternoon. I also got a job on Friday that starts 13 July, but it's 18.5 hours per week. Much better than nothing but still not enough. Obviously I won't start getting paid for that until the end of July. The check (2246USD, around 14,500DKK) hould clear within a week or two. I really need some help. Could really use a little give to my landlord until the check clears, since I haven't been able to pay anything in six months. Also some food would be nice. Now we move upstairs, where everthing was just as black as the main floor. We find a full size pool table, a guest room with two bunkbeds for guests, as well as the owners bedroom. Then we also check out the smaller (likely a migrant worker home) on the property!

From afar, this building looks like just another typical farmhouse but as I got closer, things began to look much different. There was a 12 foot tall fence, some of the doors and windows were boarded and others had been spray painted black from the inside. There was a bunch of junk littering the property, including a bear statue, a boat and even a deep freezer. As I passed through the side door of the house, I was immediately taken aback by what I saw inside and was trying to make sense of what I had just discovered.

This was an early 1900s farmhouse and there were remains of a barn out back that had collapsed over two decades ago. There was also a smaller home on the property that likely would have be used by migrant workers back when this land was still being farmed.

According to rumours, the property was owned and used as a biker clubhouse and a rival club had set fire to the home. Because of the significant damage, the owners decided to abandon the house with just about everything left behind, creating a blackened and charred time capsule of a world most people will never see.

Blind type 1 diabetic being evicted

On Friday I was sent an email by my rental company stating that since I have not paid rent since October except some small partial payments, I am to be evicted at the end of the month.

This is despite me sending them a detailed email of the situation about my financial aid checks from my US university being unable to be deposited in a bank account because the US is really weird about people not living in the US having a bank account there. I do have one, but it is through WISE, and the intermediary bank handling refund disbursements refuses to use it. So the school has to send paper checks. It's stupid but I can't change the system.

The checks were sent on 6 January. Since Dao has taken over for PostNord in Denmark, thousands upon thousands of letters have been lost and my checks most likely met the same fate as I never received them. I asked for them to be reissued in mid-February. The check for $4423 was mailed to my friend in the US on 19 February, but has not yet arrived. Since it has been so long I am trying to get it canceled and resent, but...trying to speak to anyone about it is a nightmare I just couldn't face today with my panic. Will make more calls when I can tomorrow.

The checks for $1796 were received by the university on 10 March. They won't answer me about them being sent or not, so...hoping they have. My friend will tell me when they arrive but it's frustrating. I also have a check for the next semester beginning in April which will amount to over $6000. So in total that'll be over $12,000 that SHOULD be on its way to me either now or very shortly.

I am looking for jobs every day and interviewing as much as I can but no one will hire me and honestly it's depressing as hell. I WANT TO WORK. I'm a hard worker and a good worker and give my all, but I cannot force people to hire me. I really wish I could.

I need help. I do not know what to do aside from ask once again since there is no way any of the money coming to me will arrive before 1 April.

Still really hurting. Couldn't get through to the intermediary bank last week for whatever reason but I have their corporate number now so I can call tomorrow and tell them if they don't get their shit together and find my money I'll sue. Probably won't do anything but meh.

If anyone knows of jobs in Denmark or remote work please let me know. My restaurant doesn't have me on the schedule at all for April or May and I'm doing my best to find a different job but it's so so difficult here.

I despise having to ask again, but I'm still in a terrible financial place. Worse than previous months since I was only able to work 8.5 hours total. I received 998kr on my monthly paycheck, and have had some generous friends make donations, so I have around 4000kr at the moment. My rent is 9134kr, not including insulin, diabetes supplies, food or anything else.

I am still applying for everything I see, including vikarbureau and job app temp jobs.

I'm in the process of beginning another master's degree, this one an MS in Applied Business Analysis, and my financial aid from the US was approved. I begin 1 December, and will receive my financial aid living expense funds within 30-45 days.

So unfortunately nothing much until January, although I'm always hoping and applying for things in the meantime.

I will need help to make a partial rent payment. I sincerely doubt I can get the entire amount, but making an effort to pay something is much better than paying nothing at all.

I'm still recovering from Covid and am still quite ill. As a type 1 diabetic, it hits hard. The past few times have been at least 5 weeks. This is the beginning of week 3 and while I doubt I'll be fully recovered anytime soon, I'm hoping. I am no longer contagious, as confirmed by the hospital last week, but it takes time to recover. It makes applying for jobs extremely difficult.

I promise I am doing everything I possibly can, but I lack the ability to snap my fingers and magically make someone hire me, or make my student funds arrive any more quickly. If anyone is willing to help or to mention me to their boss, or tell me of anything available, I will be more appreciative than you could ever know.

I keep asking for more hours but my restaurant manager says they're simply not available right now. This pay period I will receive maybe 1200kr total and my rent is 9134, not including insulin, diabetes supplies, food or anything else.

I do have an interview Wednesday for a job which would start in January. 24 hours per week, which is still not enough but with the current job would be a lot closer to full time. Will of course have to see, but I'm trying to be hopeful - and am still applying for everything I see, including vikarbureau and job app temp jobs.

I'm in the process of beginning yet another master's degree, and my financial aid from the US is currently being reviewed by the school. Best case scenario, I'd begin 2 December, and would receive my financial aid living expense funds within 30-45 days.
