"Hush up, will you? Gods you sound like a monarch..." A lion beastman growled, his hood tugged over his ears as he fiddled with his frayed sleeve.

Behind them both lurked a quiet young man with pale gray skin, his robes loose and heavy, as if wet. "Octavinelle received the most new students... More work for Cazador..."

"You could learn to be a housewarden yourself Monty, instead of passing everything over to Cazador." Remarked a young man with a bedazzled headscarf wrapped around his head, dapping lip gloss to his pierced lips.

"And you could learn to be less vain, Medhat." Sighed a petite blond boy innocently, earning a glare from the boy with the headscarf.

"Alright, Alright, lets just get along!" Remarked a boy, one who was connected to his brother at the shoulder and hip, a conjoined twin. "It's hard enough getting altered robes these days..."

"Quiet." The tallest of them, a boy with multicolored hair, turned to the mirror. "I hear... something."

The group paused, watching with wide eyes as the Dark Mirror begin to shake and tremble, before spitting out...

"Quiet." The tallest of them, a boy with multicolored hair, turned to the mirror. "I hear... something."

"These are Kronos and Zeus Hydran, Housewarden and Vice Housewarden of Ignihyde respectively."

He pointed to the petite boy and the tall fae, who nodded respectfully.

"Gloss Spiegelung, Housewarden of Pomefiore, and Ravenette Darkwood, Housewarden of Diaosmnia."

He finished with motioning to the gray skinned boy cowering behind everyone.

"And Monty Brinefin, Housewarden of Octavinelle."

"You're from... the future then?" One of the twins lurched forward to examine her, his eyes wide, dragging his brother along. "Oh I have so many questions..."

The gray skinned boy mumbled, looking away.

The boy with the headscarf snapped his pocket mirror closed, tucking it into the folds of his scarf.

"Pomefiore is the dorm of artistry and trendsetting!"

The petite boy grinned, snickering.

"Ignihyde is the dorm of tradition and the ambition to strive for greatness."

Chimed in one of the twins, his amber eyes shining with pride.

"And Diasomnia is the dorm of loyalty and adaptability."

A 1st year Heartslabyul student was practicing his cello skills in the room the pop music club used. He'd arrived early, hoping to get some alone time to practice without being bothered.

Caspian balanced it between his knees, moving the bow as he concentrated, zoned out from the world around him. His uniform is pristine, with a sailors hat donned over his head.

Abbie enters the room quietly, it was really trying to get away from Riddle, but ran into this kid instead

She stares at his face, isn't he new here? Whatever.

It sits quietly and listens to the cello, watching his hands, it's kinda cool to her, the precision.

Caspian was playing a tune reminiscent of an old sea shanty, the deep sounds of the cello echoing across the room. As swiftly as he'd started moving the bow, he came to a stop, finishing off the instrumental.

With an ever so slightly petulant sigh, he wiped his brow of sweat and set down his cello. That was when he noticed someone watching him. An upperclassman, by the looks of it.

"Excuse you, honoured guest, may I ask how long you've been listening?" He asked in a tone not too different from one Riddle would use; though Caspian's was more sassy.

"Ah, okay. Thank you for not interrupting my performance then," Caspian said, making a mental note to lock the door next time he wanted to practice alone.

"Ahem, my name is Caspian Lester, it's a pleasure to meet you..." He was going to leave a space of silence to ask for it's name, only to frown as she rolled up a blunt.

"Is it truly necessary for you to... partake right now?"

"I don't mind in the future as long as you ask. I find it presumptuous to just start like that," he said, using a cloth to wipe any dust or marks off his cello.

His accent is interesting; it seems to be one you'd hear from someone who comes from the Coral Sea, but he shows no signs of being a merfolk.

One corner of his lips curled into half a wry smile at the nickname. "Cas it is. And you are?"

"I was raised on a ship in the middle of the Coral Sea," Caspian said with a shrug, "I imagine that's what you're hearing - I'm human. It's a pleasure to meet you, Abbie."

He said, extending his hand for a handshake. As he moved, it was like his shadow was delayed in following him, glints of light visible in it like eyes.

"Rosehearts? Yes, I can't imagine he would be impressed." Caspian murmured, packing his cello into it's case. "Shouldn't you be setting a good example for your underclassmen, anyway? I don't want to be dragged into anything because of hanging out with one bad apple."

I make it a habit not to smoke around anyone but myself, Riddle seems to intrude lots. I think it's because of Rook at this point, he might be snitching on me... it thinks about it

"Oh, the hunter. He's quite unnerving, isn't he?" Caspian frowned as he stood up, strapping the now packed up cello to his back. He's surprisingly strong.

He looked deep in thought, eyes focused on his shadow. Shaking himself out of it, Caspian glanced back up at Abbie. "We could go to a cafe if you want. It's the weekend so I don't mind going off campus today."

Actually... yeah! I've never been to a cafe before so this'll be a new experience! it jumps up and walks with Cas

"You've... Never been to a cafe before?" Caspian blinked, surprised. "To be fair," he admitted, "I've only been to a few in my lifetime, so I suppose I can't be too shocked."

Obviously, growing up on a boat, meant a lot of restrictions in scenery. "This one is quite nice. They play live music - usually jazz - and serve home made chocolates."

Yeah, I lived in the forest before I came to NRC, so there were lots of human things I had to learn, fashion being one of them. They said I couldn't just wear green all the time... But green compliments my skin! it pouts playfully while holding back laughs

This cafe sounds nice... I guess the closest thing to a cafe I've ever been in was the Mostro Lounge! it shrugs

"Ah, I see. Opposites, we are. I've never been in a forest," Caspian said as they walked along the main street, Cas making a beeline for the chocolatiers.

"Here we are," He nodded, holding the door open for Abbie. Inside there are lots of things made of chocolate - little edible statues, cakes and various drinks.

This one tastes like raspberries! she grabs a few more before looking around

"No, you didn't, but there's plenty of mint flavoured chocolates and they put mint leaves in their iced chocolate," Caspian replied, gesturing to the drinks menu.

Caspian nodded. "I'll keep that in mind for later." He said quietly, under his breath. Just in case they ever went somewhere together again.

The two ordered their food - with Caspian getting himself a slice of chocolate brownie and soon they were seated at one of the tables.

"So... What do you think of NRC?" Caspian asked, always curious to know what other students made of the school. "I quite like it, apart from the occasional distasteful incident."

He was tucked into a booth at the Mostro Lounge, scrolling on his phone. Huh. Weird. He came across a Magicam page he'd never seen before, one showing off a beautiful doll-like man with long violet hair.

Okay, boring. Jonathan was not interested in fashion at all - showcased by his abysmal outfit that consisted of half the uniform, a blue sweater with patches sewed onto it and a green scarf. His hair is neat, a light brown with the sides dyed blue, pulled into pigtails.

Feeling eyes on him, Jonathan turned around with a friendly smile, ready to greet whoever it was.
