September fun

Solaire Resorts in Manila we were invited by my mothers client and we had coffee too

After September 4. I went to concert with my brother and sister in Makati. It was super fun and haven’t done it for a long while now. Crowd gone wild but I remembered my last visit in Pulp Summer Slam last 2013. It was crazier 😂 It is so good to be back now. I mean like the work economy and how life usually is. And there were so much catching up with friends and family that happened after this.

Sept 17 my father went back home after three long years. Mum missed him much well I did too and someone driving us around as well, a father's care is really different. And I am happy for my mother about this. My brothers and sisters too

Then we had new cat, named Zorro, super adorable kitten. Loves watching and super clingy cat. New favorite pet.

Ohhhkay so thats pretty much how my Sept went. 🫶🏻

Increase in self-awareness

How can we cultivate an increase in self-awareness? looking at ourselves as we are right now...

By assessing our current situation, we can identify and develop a clear understanding of our areas of strength and weakness.

Find a quiet place to stay and ask yourself these questions.

What am I doing? What am I not doing? What are my desires? What do I avoid?

As you allow your mind to calm, what kind of thoughts reappear in your mind? Are they positive or negative? How are your relationships are they having an impact on you? What are your judgments, fears, and defenses? Are you carrying any unresolved grief?

Once we know that we are starting, we can develop two or more pictures of ourselves as healthy and balanced or unhealthy and out of balance.

Using the same assessment categories, brainstorm a list of qualities, symptoms, and indicators of either being balanced or out of balance. When do you eat? When do you multitask? Do you check out reality by using some distraction method like television? Do you number yourself with alcohol and drugs? Do you isolate yourself from the cling or presence of others? Do you exercise? Do you talk about feelings?

You can use your self-awareness to practice balance as you create the three contrasting pictures of your present, balanced, and out-of-balance states.

Scientists can spend weeks, months and years setting up and executing experiments. Persistency and patience is the driving force that allows scientists to succeed. Detachment of emotions is one integral part of joining in the medical field.

Best physicians tend to be culturally sensitive to their patient in ways that allow the patient to open up.

Balance as a dynamic process.

Every medical student I have ever talked to has mentioned that they want balance.

Tibetan scholars have studied the correlation between thoughts and emotions. When one has strong emotions, there is an increase in number and frequency of thoughts. It may seem daunting to achieve balance under stressful conditions but with practice we can consciously develop ways to achieve it..

Who would be better off in life: someone with street smarts or someone with book smarts?

Hello, Tumblr! It has been a while since I last used this blogging site. I have been reading this book called Finding Your North. It’s a self help strategy and there are actually lots of values and wisdom to take and apply. I will be posting learnings from it. 😊

“Possessing book smarts or the ability to score high on an IQ test, isn’t a complete indicator of intelligence. The ability to link the creative and imaginative parts of oneself with the rational and logical parts is a form of creative intelligence; moreover when a synergy is created between learned knowledge and original ideas, it allows for new and unique insights.”

On a casual meaning, being book smart isn’t the same with being street smart but both will be best if both are used at once.

Book smart- having a lot of academic knowledge learned from books and studying, but not necessarily knowing much about people and living in the real world.

Street smart- Being street smart means you have a good situational understanding and awareness; in simple words, you know what is going on around you. Your solutions are practical, resulting from 'real-life' experience.
