“To be honest. I’m only glad I’ll be able to see all of that with you by my side,” she commented, “I know it sounds selsfish, but that’s the truth, I probably wouldn’t really care about a better world if I didn’t have you. But I do know. You make me care.” Nicole told her, the words freely flowing out of her lips with no filter. At the comparation the green-eyed vampire made, Nicole couldn’t help but snort softly, it was ironic. “Please, I’m far from being a guardian, let alone an angel.” she chuckled, and turned to look at Abby as she felt eyes on her. “If anything, you are the angel… A goddess.”

Abby bites her lip, shrugging her shoulders. “I mean... I can’t say the same isn’t true for me,” she admits, laughing softly. “What good is a better world if you don’t have anybody to share it with? It’s all that much better if you have somebody that you can experience it with.” She smiles and lifts their joined hands, kissing the back of Nic’s. “Despite what you think, I still think of you as my guardian angel,” she says, meeting the other vampire’s eyes. “I wouldn’t be here today without you. There are countless times I almost died that you saved me from. As much as you like to think you’re bad, you’re not. At least, when it comes to me.” She leans over and kisses her cheek, pulling her closer as they continue to walk. "As for me being a goddess... You're not entirely wrong. I am immortal and crazy beautiful."

Nicole grinned widely as she thinks of it; they literally have all the time in the world. And the girl had never been a huge believer on fate or that destiny has a plan for everyone, but in moments like this she’d always thing that they both were meant to be together, no matter if it took them ages to find each other. “Oh, we’ve got to make up for that and more,” she whispered, pressing a kiss to the back of Abby’s hand as they held them together and walked the rest. “I know, right? I mean, there are still some issues these days, but it’s such an improvement to back when we would’ve gotten arrested or worse.” she nodded. “Not like I was gonna let that happen, anyway.”

Abby smiles and nods her head in agreement. “We’ve got a lot to make up for, but I know that we will,” she says, sure that the rest of their immortal lives will be better now that they’re together again. She sighs, shaking her head at the thought of how people acted back then. “The world we were born into never would have let us love each other. I’m glad that I lived to see a world like today. And I’m glad that I’ll live to see a better tomorrow.” The world around her is constantly changing and she finds reassurance in that. Things can only get better, and she’ll get to experience them. “I know you wouldn’t have let anything happen. I always felt safe knowing you were watching over me. Despite the whole vampire thing, I still thought of you as my guardian angel. I still do,” she admits, looking at Nicole at her side while they walk.

“Wow, teach me your ways,” Nicole joked. Feeling their fingers intertwining, the older vampire stroked the back of Abby’s hand, everything was okay; they’d finally be okay. After so many years, it was about time they had their happy eternity. “And you’ll get that, everything we talked about, our dreams, our future and promises. They’ll happen. I’m sorry the happened a bit later than intended,” she said the last line feeling bashful, “we’re going to make this work.” she affirmed, before taking leaning in an pressing a lingering kiss to her lips. “I was afraid that was going to happen,” she giggled a little, against her lips. “once I kissed you I wouldn’t be able to stop,” she told her- “Now let’s go have the fun we came here for.”

Abby takes a deep breath, a wide smile on her lips as she thinks about the future they’ll have together. It’s a little overwhelming, finally being together with Nicole again and actually having the possibility of getting everything she wanted when she first became a vampire. She never thought they would finally get their happily ever after. “It’s alright that it took a little while. We have all the time in the world,” she says. She returns their kiss, sighing happily against her lips. She laughs, leaning forward to press a kiss against her lips again. “I don’t ever want you to stop. We’ve gotta make up for a hundred years of missed kisses,” she says, shrugging her shoulders. She nods her head, keeping their fingers intertwined as they walk toward the club. “Do you ever think about how much times have changed? Like... We’d never be able to dance and kiss in public back when I was human.”

Nicole smiles gently at the other girl’s words. She knows it won’t be simple to just stop feeling that way, it was as if it had been simple to stop loving the other girl, she could lie to herself and say the feelings weren’t there; but they still were. Nevertheles, Nicoles would try. For Abby. For the both of them. She wouldn’t screw things up only because some stupid and unjustified feelings. “Oh God, how did you deal with that?” she half groaned, half chuckled. She knew wasn’t as impatient as she was, or else the other girl wouldn’t be there interrupting there in the first place. “I trust you. Look, you don’t have to explain yourself to me, alright? I mean unless you want to. But,  I wasn’t in your life back then, so I don’t get to dictate over your past life. It’s pointless, and it’s gonna cause us trouble. And the last thing I want is trouble for us.” she rambled briefly, something she rarely did but there she was. “I just– I want the best for us.”

Abby giggles, shrugging her shoulders. “I guess I became more patient in my older age,” she says. She takes one of Nicole’s hands in her own, lacing their fingers together. It feels right, being with her and holding her hand and getting to actually call her hers. This is what she’s been waiting for since she first became a vampire. Now that it’s finally happening, she can’t help but feel a little emotional. “The last thing I want is trouble, too. I just... I wanna finally have the life I’ve always wanted. I just... I wanna be with you, forever. And I know it won’t be easy, and we’ll probably have fights every now and again, but I want you to know that.. This is what I want. I want you. I love you. There hasn’t been a day that I’ve stopped,” she tells her, lifting their hands so that she can kiss the back of hers. “I want the best for us, too. I want us to be happy. Together.”

Nicole closes her eyes, focusing on the embrace, on the feeling of having the girl between her arms and a small smile traces her lips as she listens to her. “Never.” she whispers, agreeing with her. The smaller girl, bites her lip softly as she lets her eyes take in her features, and nodding at the reassurance. “I just don’t like to think about some else wanting you the wayI have you.” she said, she knew it was stupid and that maybe she shoul be feeling proud that she had Abby, knowing no one else could, and she would if it was something or someone else. But not Abby– She was more than a simple possesion that she could use to make others jealous.  Nicole wraps her fingers around Abby’s belt hoops as she kisses her back. Nicole sighs as the separate, especially when she hears the other vampire apologizing. “I shouldn’t have gotten upset over her, it’s not like you called her or anything. It’s just– I was really annoyed since the very beggining because she, uh, interrupted us.” she said with a light laugh to try and brigthen the mood. “I’m sorry for yelling at you,” she lifted her finger to raise Abby’s chin.

Abby sighs, nodding her head. “I get that, I do, but it’s not really something that we can change. I don’t like other people being attracted to you, but... It’s alright, ‘cause I know that you love me,” she says, shrugging her shoulders. She knows that stopping the jealous feelings is easier said than done, but she just doesn’t want Nic to worry about anything separating them. She’s already lost her before, twice, and she’ll be damned if she lets her leave ever again. She giggles, looking up when she feels Nicole’s finger under her chin. “She did interrupt us, didn’t she? She’s always been like that, honestly,” she admits, shrugging her shoulders. She’d gotten used to it during the time she’d known Diane. “It’s alright. Just.. I don’t know. Trust me a little. Trust that I didn’t make any huge mistakes while we were apart. Besides Diane. Well... I feel bad calling her a huge mistake. She was good to me. But.. I don’t know. I’m not really sure where I’m going with this. I’m just happy we’re together and that the past is in the past.”

Nicole lets her eyes bore deep into the pair of emeralds staring right at he, only dropping slightly to look at the full lips she so much wants to claim with her own, and another weight seems to raise of her chest when they finally meet. Her hands rest on Abby’s hips as their lips move together for a moment, she missed them, and she swears she could do this for the eternity. As they separate, Nicole opens her eyes to allow herself taking in every detail of the other’s face. She has to admit she still doesn’t like the idea of someone loving the younger one, but she’d have to deal with that– Right in that moment, she didn’t want to think about that. “You’re mine,” she whispered, almost relieved, “You’re mine,” she repeated, wrapping her arms around the green-eyed’s waist and pulling their bodies close, as Nicole’s face buried in her hair. “I love you so much.”

Abby wraps her arms tightly around Nicole, keeping her eyes shut tight. “I’m yours, Nic. I’m yours, forever and always,” she whispers back, holding her just a little tighter. “I’m yours and you’re mine. That’s never gonna change.” She loosens her grip and pulls away enough so that she can look into the other girl’s eyes, placing one hand on her cheek. “You don’t have to worry about anyone else coming and taking me away from you. My heart has been yours since the first day I met you,” she tells her honestly, hoping to expel any of the doubt that the other vampire could be feeling she leans forward and kisses her again, relishing the feeling. When she pulls away, she bites her lip and looks down. “I’m sorry that I brought up you leaving again... It’s really.. It’s not fair to you if I keep bringing it up. I was just.. I was upset and I was mad that you were upset with me over Diane.”

Nicole lets out a short breath that she didn’t know she had been holding, like a weight pressing her chest. She had to admit she was slightly relieved  that there was only one person. The older vampire remains quiet as she listens to her speak, only reacting when Abby plans to get away from her. “Wait,” she says softly, grabbing her arm to pull her slightly closer just to avoid her from leaving, even if it was only for a moment. “She’s still in love with you.” she stated in a low voice that almost sounded pained. “Do you know that, right? I could tell that she was… The way that she was looking at you, touching you.” she says bitterly between her teeth. “She still does… And she probably always will.” And how could the other not? Bond or no bond– She knew falling out of love with someone as perfect as Abby was an imposible task, though Nicole had to admit that Abby being the maker, it only made things much more complicated.

Abby has to refrain from angrily pulling her arm away from Nic, her mouth in a hard line while she waits for her to speak. She shakes her head, lifting her hands to hold each side of Nicole’s face. “I don’t care if she still loves me. She’s not the one who I love,” she says before pulling the other girl’s face towards her. She lets out a sigh when their lips connect, finally feeling less angry about what happened. Kissing Nicole had always calmed her down, even when she was human so long ago. After a few moments, she pulls away and leans her forehead against the other vampire’s, keeping her eyes closed. “I love you, Nic. I’ve always loved you... It doesn’t matter if Diane still loves me or not. Because I don’t feel the same way about her. I feel bad, but... There’s nothing I can do to change how I feel.”

A bitter laugh escapes her as soon as she hears what Abby had to say, it was a low blow but she knew she deserved it.The huge ass mistake she made so many years ago would always haunt her, it had tainted their relationship and no matter what any of them did or say, it’d never change that fact. “It still doesn’t answer my other question,” she said in a strained voice, “how many of them are there?” It’s already too much having to think on someone touching Abby the way she did, on loving her like she did. It makes her so angry on thinking that someone was there for the green.eyed vampire when she was supposed to be the one by her side. And that Abby was so desperate on forgetting her that’d she be turning other people. It was unfair of Nicole to be upset on that fact, she knew that. And the real reason on why she was feeling like that, was making her skin crawl.

Abby rolls her eyes, crossing her arms. “Diane’s the only person I’ve ever turned. It’s not like I just kept going around turning people for the hell of it. I knew her for a year before I made the decision to turn her and that was after a lot of talking about it and discussing if it was the best idea. I didn’t just wake up one day and decide to turn her,” she defends herself, having a hard time keeping herself from yelling. She just wants to get out of here. She wishes she could restart the night, but there’s no point in dwelling over events that she can’t change. “Any other questions, or can I go? I need to go and cool off,” she says. “Without you.” She doesn’t want to be around the other vampire right now. Not while all of this anger is starting to build in her chest about the past and about the judgement that Nic so readily dealt out.

Nicole is glad the other vampire leaves as soon as she arrived, but her final comment before leaving only helps to make her annoyance rise. She runs a hand through her hair as if that was going to anything to relax her, she doesn’t know why she’s so angry out of sudden. “Were you out of your fucking mind? What the hell were you thinking turning another fucking human?” she started, before another couple of thoughts slipped into her head. “How many else did you turn, uh? Will we go around meeting more of your little toys? Who the fuck was that, anyway?” Nicole  lets out almost all in a breath. She knows whatever answers Abby gives her will probably keep increasing her anger, but she just want to know.

Abby knows that what she did was wrong, but having Nicole yell at her for it makes her angry. She doesn’t deserve the judging tone that she’s getting from the other girl. “Y’know what, Nic? Fuck you. You wanna know what I was thinking when I turned her? I was thinking maybe I’d finally move the fuck on from somebody who was never coming back. I thought maybe, just maybe I’d be able to start over,” she defends herself, her voice growing louder as she continues to talk. She clenches her jaw and shakes her head, hands balling into fists in anger. “Fuck you. She wasn’t just a toy. I genuinely thought that I loved her. And as soon as I realized I made a mistake, I owned up to it. And I didn’t just leave her with no explanation, either. I gave her my reasons before I left her life, unlike some fucking people.”

Her jaw clenches as she catches what Abby obviously looked like she was trying to avoid saying– It seemed like the younger vampire wasn’t reluctlant on turning people, and she wondered just how many humans she had done that with. The brunette made a mental note on having a really serious talk with the green-eyed girl as soon as they were alone. “Funny, isn’t it?” she threw a tight lipped smile at the youngest, not really liking how she was looking at Abby, or how she was being all touchy feely. Nicole didn’t like when someone touched what she thought was hers. Though, was Abby really hers? “Well, I’m glad you two got to meet again and whatnot, but we really should get going.” Nicole went straight to the point, not really caring if whats-her-name got offended or anything.

Abby is terrified of what could happen once she’s alone with Nicole again, but she wants Diane to go away. She can see the hostility on the other vampire’s face and maybe that has a part in convincing Diane to leave them alone. Abby takes a deep breath and gives Diane a strained smile. “Yeah, we should get going. It was nice seeing you,” she says quietly, taking a step away from her. “It was nice seeing you too. And if you wanna get together again some time... You know how to find me.” With that, Diane walks away from them, leaving the alley and heading off in another direction. Abby waits a few seconds before turning to her side and facing Nicole, prepared for whatever anger would be thrown her way. “Go ahead. Yell at me. I know you want to,” she says, tensing her muscles and preparing herself for the worst.

Nicole watches the scene in front of her, her frown deepening as the stranger encloses Abby in a hug, and even more as she feels the green-eyed vampire avoiding her gaze. However, as she laid eyes on the stranger it all became even more confusing that it was almost laughable. Who the fuck was this girl? And why did it seem like she was looking at herself in a mirror? Nicole couldn’t help but look at the other one up and down, almost acussingly. “Oh, is that right? So, how did you meet?” she asked looking at both vampires. As much as she felt annoyed for the interruption, there were a million questions running through her head, and she certainly needed answers.

Abby groans quietly when Nicole keeps asking questions, wishing more than anything that she would just drop it and they could leave. She doesn’t want to lie, but she also doesn’t want to upset Nicole by telling her the truth. “We, uh.. Well, in the 70s, we crossed each other’s paths... And, uh... I turned her and we spent five years together and then we went our separate ways,” she says, saying the last sentence quickly in the hopes that Nicole wouldn’t understand and wouldn’t ask about her anymore. “Yeah, we never thought we’d see each other again, but I guess fate works in mysterious ways.” Abby’s eyes widen a little when she feels Diane’s hand on her arm and she has to fight the urge to push her hand off. She doesn’t want to hurt her feelings, but she definitely doesn’t feel the same way she thought she did back then. Diane had been.. A foolish attempt at trying to get what she really wanted. The whole thing had been a mistake, but she couldn’t take it back. So, she left instead. She told Diane that she had to leave and that had been the last of them together. At least, that’s what she thought then.

Nicole bites her lip to avoid laughing at Abby’s frustration, but her teasing backfires as soon as she finds herself being held back, the air catching itself in her throat as she stares back at the green eyes keeping her in place. She knew it was going to happen, and she wouldn’t stop it this time– They’ve both waited for so long, and she wants it just as badly. She hears someone’s voice but it’s not recognizable so she ignores it– But Abby didn’t. Frowning at Abby’s reaction, she looks at the interruption. It’s another one of them, she can tell by the features and lack of heartbeat- Confusion and frustration mix in Nicole as she stares at the stranger– at least for her, it seemed, and back at Abby, an eyebrow raised in question.

Abby’s eyes stay wide as she stares at Diane, wondering how on Earth they possibly could’ve ended up in the same alley on the same night. She doesn’t have time to react before she’s pulled into a bone crushing hug. When she’s finally let go, she avoids any and all eye contact with Nic, unable to deal with her reaction to the situation at hand. “Hey, Di... It’s been a long time,” she says, awkwardly taking a step away so that she isn’t pulled into her arms again. It’s weird to see Nicole and Diane near each other. A part of her had always know that Diane looked like Nic, but seeing them together.. That takes it to a whole new level. “I know. Over forty years. I never thought I’d see you again.” Abby forces a smile, even though every part of her is telling her to run away. She doesn’t want to deal with this. Things were finally getting to be good in her afterlife. She finally turns toward Nic, still avoiding her eyes. “Diane, this is Nic. Nic, this is Diane. We... Uh, we go way back,” she says, trying to keep as vague as she can to avoid questions.

“Yaaaaaaaay,”she said in a small voice with a grin plastered on her face before pretending to think. “Uhm, I don’t know… I don’t know… I wasn’t the one who had her prize picked already.” she mocked before snapping her fingers. “Oh, I got it…” she smirked before stepping closer to Abby, slowly leaning in before moving towards her ear. “I’ll let you know later,” she winked at her.

She rolls her eyes, shaking her head. “Well, I decided to let you win, alright?” Her breathing stops as Nicole leans in, a groan escaping when she isn’t met with the other girl’s lips against her own. Before she can get too far away, she grabs her arms lightly. “Nic, wait..” She has to do it. She can’t let this go on any longer. She takes an unnecessary breath, trying to keep her nerves at bay as she leans in. Just as she’s about to finally press their lips together, she hears a voice she never thought she’d hear again. “Luna, is that you?!” She pulls away from Nicole slowly, her eyes wide as she looks at the person standing not to far away from them. All she can think is, fuck.

Nicole gasped mockingly, and shook her head, before coming to a full stop where she knew no one would see a girl appearing out of thin air. “What a fuckboy,” she called, knowing Abby would still be able to hear her.

She laughs and continues running until she’s caught up with Nicole, coming to a stop next to her. “Well, Nicole Vega. You won our race. What do you want for your prize?” Abby asks, biting her lip and raising an eyebrow.

Nicole laughs as Abby trails behind her, though at seeing the girl isn’t taking the advantage she’ raises her eyebrow at her. “What? Is that the best you can do?” she teased.

She giggles and shakes her head, keeping pace behind Nicole. “Nah, I could do better, but I’m enjoying the view too much to try better,” she says, shrugging her shoulders.

“Well, you better stop if you want to win, because…” With a wink, Nicole dashed her way to the club, knowing Abby would soon follow. Halfway through, though, she slowed down just a little bit, knowing the other vampire would be able to win that way.

Abby opens her mouth, about to speak, before she closes it and starts running after Nic. It’s exciting, chasing after her and just being able to have fun with her. She notices the other vampire starting to slow down and she falls in line with her, deciding to go her speed as opposed to racing ahead of her.

No, I forbid you from doing so. I’ll race you there, winner gets… Whatever the winner wants.

Can’t stop, won’t stop. I can’t wait to win. I already know what I want.
