over the past year, two particular new friendships of mine profoundly affected me positively in countless ways. the experiences ive shared with them have healed me and given me joy, peace, bliss.

but now everything has changed

because not once but twice in the past couple of weeks

one of my two friends violently [i promised i wouldnt tell anyone] the other one of my friends little sibling. and then gave them [redacted] in exchange for promising not to tell us.

im experiencing a depth in some of my emotions like disgust and betrayal that ive never reached before. i screamed, wailed from a place that felt ancient and familiar to my soul.
