Yesterday I went hiking in the Alps. We reached an altitude of 1765 meters, approximately 300 of which were covered by foot. We were greeted by delicious Bavarian food at an alpine hut (Käsespätzle, Gulaschsuppe, and Kaiserschmarrn!), after which we made our treacherous descent through fog, rain, and mud.

This photo was taken on top of a five meter boulder. Climbing up and down was rather scary, but definitely worth it.

Photos from my cross country Liechtenstein trip are up~

I was in four different countries today. Took a train from Germany to Austria, walked from Austria across Liechtenstein and into Switzerland.

I walked across an entire country. I feel accomplished.

Two weekends ago I went on a day trip to Füssen and Hohenschwangau with these people. We hiked up to the Marienbrücke to look at Neuschwanstein, swam in a lake, and ate Apfelstrudel with ice cream.

Apologies for the lack of posts

I've been kept busy lately with classes, plays, crazy avant-garde readings, and living the dream. I'll try and find some more things to take photos of, but in the mean time, ask me questions about life here and I'll answer them. :3

Germans making jokes! "Donnerwetter" means "thunderstorm"; Döner is this food. Spelled as it is here, "Dönerwetter" is a pun that means "kebap-weather."

...So it was funny before I had to translate it. -_-
